Question Front Cover Question

Okay,

I am in the middle of a turbo conversion and need a little help.

I have an 88 Turbo II motor that I am swapping the front cover on. (85 GSL SE front cover)

I need to tap that front cover for the oil return from the turbo right? and so, was wondering how you guys did the whole job.

E.G. where to tap?

Do I use a specific fitting? Or is there a special piece that people are using?

How do I get the piece to stay in place? JB Weld? Thread the cover? Weld?

any help is greatly appreciated.

can't you just return it straight to the oil pan?? It's low pressure so you could just take your oil pan off and have a fitting welded onto it. Perhaps the rotary oil system is a little different than some of my other cars. I haven't taken my pan off yet...so it might not work.

you could but there is the possibility of not having the oil drain out of the hose fast enough
