finished my engine

yey
i finished my engine and started it today
jspec s5, stock turbo
downpipe, silencer, farter
pretty much stock...
na ecu, 550x4
getting a walbro and maybe 1600cc for the rear?? so i could run 460 front and 1600 rear and somehow tune it correctly?

congratulations! (sorry I don't have any advice)

Did you rebuild the J-spec motor, or did you just put it in?

Either way, good work.

Any preliminary compression #'s?

yes, S5 NA ecu, no money for the t2 ecu....
and rebuilt the j-spec motor
RA seals, aftermarket oil orings, etc etc

Nice flames. It may be just me, but it doesnt sound real good to me.

And if I were you, I wouldnt be revving a fresh rebuild like that. You may be asking for trouble.

just my 2 cents.

Yeah, i would not expect a freshly rebuilt motor being revved over 6k after only a few miles to last very long. Maybe you should do a search on how to properly break in your motor. The way you break a motor in dramatically affects the way the motor will run many miles down the road.

yeah...
i realize it was kinda dumb to rev it...
after that night though, the engine had been idling around 1.5k, 2k, and 2.5k varying...
and its not leaking a drop... temperature in the middle
so i guess a few more days will tell how the motor runs...
