right now I have a 50 shot on my car. No problems as long as my 6 ports are open. before I had them opened I had problems running lean but since I opened them no problems at all. Nitrous is a lot of fun If you buy nitrous I would recommend Nitrous Express. They have to most technology right now.

I know a thing or two about nitrous.

First and foremost, you need to make sure the car is in sound working order. A full tune-up, fresh fuel filter and spark plugs, make sure the auxilary and vdi (if applicable) are in working order. I would definitely consider temoving the extra throttle plates in the secondary runners, or at the very least, ensuring these are functioning correctly. You should also have your fuel injectors cleaned, flowed, and balanced.
The reason this is so important is that injecting nitrous into closed ports can and will cause nitrous backfire, which at best will scare you, or at worst, blow apart your intake plastics and manifolds.

Have you done any other modifcations to the car yet?

Are you going with a wet or dry kit? Push button or throttle switch? Progressive controller? Also I second the recommendation of nitrous express.

Here in a few months I’m going to be running the nitrous express instaboost kit with a regressive controller to eliminate boost lag from my 76mm turbo, so as my turbo is spoiling up the nitrous will be firing and as the boost from the turbo increases the nitrous will taper off allowing the turbo to do its thing. However I can set the nitrous to be firing all the time if I want and still have it on a push button for on the fly situations.

Holy thread resurrection Batman! This one's from 2003. OP hasn't posted since '09 when it looks like his engine blew. Also looks like the nitrous never happened.
