A spoiler should be the first thing on the list. If you asked, you would probably find that spoilers are the one item in shortest supply for FC's. We need something like the C'West carbon fiber 3rd gen wing for a FC.

But hurry up, I want one soon!

How about Z3 style front fenders? My friend has an Eclipse with a set on and they are one of the best features of the car.

On the subject of spoilers, it would be nice to have a spoiler that could somehow attach to the hatch so that the spoiler isnt in the way when you are putting stuff in the back. I for one could not have a very large spoiler in the back because I have to put heavy stuff back there sometimes.

Or I think a better idea would be a spoiler like the one in my sig, but where the horizontal part can be removed easily for getting stuff in and out of the back.

I have a correction to make that was brought to my attention by another reader. The Mariah kit parts list for their Mode5 is actually $1428 +tax/shipping. Just wanted to set the record straight. I had said that the one we are trying to make was 1/3 cheaper. Sorry Jeff.

I would have to suggest making a kit that kept the pop up headlights option. I like the border kit, RE2000, and Cwest.
WE NEED A CF HOOD MORE THAN ANYTHING !!!
I am about to try to make my own......

Pop up lights was something that was often regarded as a car of the late 80's and early 90's and that's exactly what a second gen rex is. When I see rex's out there without the pop up lights it kind of erks me a little bit. You can make it a little more modern by having it not lift up as high which imo is awesome. Then you add on an HID kit and BAM, freakin awesome! ^_- *been watching too much emeril legassi* Well, I've got the KnightSports light kit on the car and I have to say although it's expensive, it was well worth it cuz of the added light, and also the style factor. My 2 cents!

Peace,
AJ ^_^

PS: Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

On that Sexy Style kit, those side skirts fit the style of the RX7 very well. Those are some of the best side skirts around.

Will someone post a pic of the Mariah nose piece for comparison to the other kits?

I agree. I plan on mentioning that to him when we talk next. He is still swamped trying to get the new 2002 kit model cars out of his shop so he can take in an FC and get to work. I'll talk to him and let him know of the NEED

As far as the CF hoods go, I know there have been talks of group buy for them etc...what were the specifics of those? Prices? Quantity? What was the style? Anyone got any hood in mind that they want to vote for for CF hood?

I would like to see two hoods...
One for the NA and 1 for the t2. Replicas of the origanals but in CF. Nothing Fancy... Well for me anyway. Besides once you make the stock NA hood out of CF it should be pretty easy to adapt vents, scoops, whatever to it pre-purchase.

Copy the stock hood? Are you nuts! Get one with the inverse scoops ... make it like the Mazdaspeed hood for FD's that is kinda rounded off. I want a hood that doesn't have the cutouts for the pop-up headlight.

I still say that the spoiler should be priority #1. Something like a corvis wing but with a bracket that fits the short rear deck of an FC.

Hey, I am actually kinda in that buy, and i dont know what happened to it. the specifics were:

TII hood, stock latches
3 coats of clearcoat for the shiny cf look
$400
appropriate bracing, etc.

Can ya beat that!?

I agree with your points on the hood. I wouldn't apy that kind of money for a stock hood This is CF we are talking about here!!

Like I said before though, let me find out first if he can even do that. Would you guys be interested in FG if he couldn't do CF?

I need more pics of spoilers that you would like to have avail for the FC. What does a corvis wing look like?

Dunno, I will know soon enough though =) So it was styled after the stock TII hood? I personally could benefit from the inverse ducts for the Project 86 car since it is going full track

I am sure that if there is enough interest, then we can get some sort of seperate manufacturing going Hey, you can never have too many options for FC parts!

I honestly think that the new Knightsports FC frontend is the best looking I have ever seen. If one was made that looked as good as this for a reasonable price, I would get one.

MODE-5 race version with extra cooling ducts cut into the front bumper area.

MODE-5 street version with extra clear plastic airdam lip used on the 1989 HKS/Rotary Rocket 200MPH TII.

I feel the same way. I think the Knightsports kit is absolutely beautiful. How much does it cost, and where do I get it from.

wow! I like that look, I think whatever the kit end up to be it should have that look. Nice and smooth sexy flowing lines... not like a choppy straight line kit. All new cars these days have flowing corners and smooth edges and I think that is what the kit should incorporate.

That kit by KnightSports was the kit I wanted to get from the beginning but when I saw the prices for them *IE: almost a grand for just the front bumper, I almost passed out. There's NO way I could afford the Japanese one. I love the lense covers and the little small inlet on the passenger side of the bumper is awesome. Anycase, I vote for the KnightSports front bumper!

Peace,
AJ ^_^

Mariah clone front flared fenders

I would be interested in a set of Mariah clone copy front flared fenders. Retain the original body lines and flared out to allow 255's/17's all the way around or at least a 245/16 all the way around.

Mariah price $500+ for the pair. Ouch!

If you can make the pair for $350 and the above requirements consider them sold.

Also a nice front end nose piece that keeps the pop up lights, but has bigger opening for Front Mount intercooler/Radiator airflow and bigger brake duct cooling openings. Don't we all want this?
A reasonable price please and no "Streetfighter" styling.... I don't want my RX-7 to look like a Honda Civic with battle armor.

Why does everyone want copies of existing kits? If you want the real thing, buy the real thing, dont rip off designs.

I for one, would like something original made, styling cues from other kits are ok, but don't just duplicate something exactly.. and I hope ricer parts aren't made either, Z3 fenders? gawd, thats so last year, and you can blend them in yourself if you really wanted to, I saw a FC with them, it looked so ugly..

anyway, i like the new knightsports kit, and i also like this kit, and i like the hood,
