Fast hood question

I found a guy selling an aluminum hood for only 50 bucks. It doesn't have the hood scoop though. How hard is it to find those?

Also, he is advertising that it only fits S5 cars. I have an S4, would it fit? I couldn't find anything that said the hoods are the same.

Hoods are the same. Scoops are relatively easy to find...

Here's a CF scoop:

I think he meant it was an n/a hood, not a turbo one.

To the OP- I just sold a black n/a hood for $100, so $50's a good deal. And S4 and S5 hoods fit exactly the same

if the hood has a spot for the scoop ( also known as a TII hood), you can get a replacement like Funkspectrum stated.

if the hood has no spot for a scoop, its an NA hood (smooth with no vents). you cannot put a scoop on an NA hood.

hoods fit the same TII & NA for S4 & S5 ( 1986-1991 )

this is what the guy said on the add. "I do not have the scoop, just the hood."

I am no expert. But it almost looks like he tried putting a scoop on an NA hood.

Here is the link to the pic. What do you guys think?

Nope, that's a TII hood without the plastic insert. If you get the thing Funkspectrum posted, it fits right in there.

Virtually every part minus engine parts is interchangable between s4 and s5. It's always good to make sure though.

That hood has a huge dent in the front pass side right infront of that piece of tape and a couple other dents. Worthless to me.
