im sure it has something to do with the brakes. once in a while like once a day when i take a harder stop it makes a loud low pitch squeal, and if i hold the brakes in it makes the sound in the pattern of the wheels spinning. any ideas? i'm not good with brakes.

I'd take the wheel off and have a look at it. It could be anything from pads being worn down to a bad rotor. Take a picture and post it up if you can.
