Engine wants to die in gear

NA 86 5 speed manual. I finished rebuilding the motor and had a shop rebuild the transmission (4th gear whined). Put it all back together motor starts fine, but now the motor wants to bogs down when I put it into gear. Transmission smoothly goes into gear. I thought it was a mechanical issues with the clutch not releasing so I replaced the clutch, pressure plate & throw out bearing. No luck. Later I replaced the master & slave cylinder and still having the same issue (bleed the clutch several times). Also checked the BAC valve. I can move the car around my back yard has long as I keep giving it gas. I jacked the rear wheels off the ground, started the car, and it still wants to bog down (rear wheels don't move with clutch depressed) and die but only in gear . I adjusted the clutch pedal a couple of times but I'm close to the end of the rod. Is there an electrical signal from the transmission to the motor not getting a signal to keep RPM's up? Trying to figure out what's the drag on the motor only in gear? Any ideas will be helpful thanks.

This is not an easy topic to search. I will give you a bump for some help. Have you the checked fuel pressure? Changed the fuel pickup sock and filter? After a rebuild, I for sure would have.

Fuel pressure was 39psi. I adjust the throttle cable so to increase rpm to 1800 at idle. Jacked the rear end up with tires off the ground, started it and put it into gear let it run for about 20mins. Wheels turn, car bogs down but runs, idle bounces between 1100 -1500rpms. With clutch engaged (foot to the floor) and in gear, car just bogs down to just under 1500rpms. I'm going to keep run it to see if it get better...
