As all autoparts stores have in thier books only what the parts manufactures (like Bendix or whoever) write, you will need to know some of the basics.

For example in the aftermarket replacements parts like brake parts, Bendix uses the term "Heavy Duty suspension" or "hard suspension" too means the 5 lug 4 piston front brakes and the 5 lug vented rotor rear brakes such as found on the GXL, Sport, GTUs, 88 GTU, 'vert or T2.

Frankly IMO, I think its pretty lame to be knocking the part seller, instead of the manufacture who tells the seller what they manufacture, just because you don't understand the terminology the manufacture uses.

yeah i know it was kinda lame
but every things pissin me off today so i didnt really mean to diss the parts seller
but it does seem stupid for them not to easily distinguish from the models like gxl, gtu, etc.
but who is going to challenge a big company, im happy just to get the parts i need for somewhat cheap

Service varies from store to store too. One parts store in my town looks down their nose at me anytime I ask for a part for a "foreign" car. Sometimes tells me they can't even get them.

The same brand store on the other side of town is quite friendly and finds me the parts the other store said they couldn't get.

i live in a small hick town

that might be why they cant get the parts right
and you know what they charge for a brake rotor?
85 bucks!
thats a normal, not crossdrilled or nothin

You need to tell them (when buying brake pads) that your car is a Turbo model if you have 4 piston calipers. That will eliminate any confusion. (Yes, I know it's NOT a TII... but the brake parts are the same.)

p.s. Not REALLY a vendor issue, more like "how to order parts" so we'll keep it here.

Uh well yes and **** no.... Its the buyers responsiblity to make sure hes getting the right part i.e. check right there but its also the part sellers responsibility to make sure they are selling the right part to the customer....Most part sellers dont know what they are looking at when its an rx7 so you have to sit there and guide them like a little kid to the bathroom so its a 50 50 job....

NAPA has better quality parts, but Autozone has a really cute girl working the register by the window. I saw her while driving past going to another store; I whipped an illegal "U".

Most generic parts stores have no clue, so I try to do the research myself and hand over part numbers for them.
