Does this price sound right for a engine?

1991 RX-7 13B WITH HARNESS AND BRAIN
ALT,STARTER,FLYWHEEL AND BRACKETS $
1750.00

i got quoted from someone and was wondering if this is overpriced, about right, or a steal?

If it runs, i'd say about right. If it doesn't, then you're being ripped off.

yeah its a fairly new engine, runs good, about 20k miles on it i believe..

yes, no as in it's a rip.

i'd sell you mine for WAY less, under 20k miles and etc. but it's an S4.

i got an S5 TII long block in GREAT condition, with all of that plus a tranny INCUDING shipping for $1000.

edit, what are you putting this in? does your car already have a motor in long block form?

yeah, I got my S5 TII motor, in great condition, shipped to my door for like $1100. that price is WAAAAAYYYY too high

No rush, im gonna take my time on finding a good strong rebuilt engine later. As of now ill just prep my car for the bigger engine. Thanks for the posts.

****, I can build you an 89-91 NA engine to spec with all longblock accessories for $1750, with a warranty. For a used engine with any more than a couple thousand miles that is a ripoff. You can buy whole 89-91 NA CARS for that much...

I would spend the money on a rebuild and you'd defintely know what you have. Unless you totally trus this individual, you don't really know the exact mileage. Personnaly i wouldn't do it.
