Mazda filter currently

 

I have a Motormaster filter in my car. I'm going to hell.

 

I had been using a Fram, I remember when it was a good filter. I had '92 Protege LX and used the Motorcraft filter that fit on the Escort GT's, it was about half the price as the Mazda filter back then. Going to tne Mobil 1 when I change my oil tomorrow.

 

Hey since were on the topic of oil..Does anyone know for SURE what the various oil change place carry in terms of weight? Bottom line is I went to Big O the other day and asked for 10/40 as the weather is getting a little cooler. Now, that's what the guy at the front service desk wrote on the work order. 10/40. Well I come to find out talking to the mechanic in the shop bay( I went around back) that they don't have 10/40! He said" we have 5/30 5/40 20/50 ect..." I said thanks and we talked about mods and what else. Now what's up w/the discrepience? Maybe it's not a big deal but...

 

I wouldnt know i cant get my filter off for **** but i use mobil 1
