Differences between S4 and S5
I tried to do a search, but it kept saying it wouldn't search because of S4 and S5 only being two characters each. Dirty search program...anyways, i'm still doing some research before I start looking into buying an FC and was wondering what the differences are between the S4 and the S5, aside from years. Thanks.
Ok, the s4 redline at 7 grand while the s5 redline at 8. The s5 also has more power then the s4, gauge cluster is different, differant tail lights, The side molding were diff colors from the body. And hmmm, s5 part are harder to find then s5. I own a S4 and my frined owns a s4. We race i pull. He has an SE and i have a GXL. SO even with all the weight i still beat him. but of course im an S5 guy...so im gonna say buy an S5.

S5 also has lightened rotors, faster computer, higher compression, VDI, different 6 port design, different minor changes in the interior, different front and rear bumper, different spoiler, different molding, different tail lights, different steering wheel, electrical OMP, different wheels, different bleed design for the radiator, different pulsation dampner, different LSD types.........and thats about all i can think of right now

If you were paying attention, I said I tried the search, but it wouldn't work because i'd type in something such as "Differences between S4 and S5" and it would refuse to search because S4 and S5 were only two characters each.
The S5 is heavier by about 100-200 pounds, the S4 is much easier to get used parts for, much cheaper to buy, its intake manifold is supposedly easier to match-port (and it just gains more if you are doing a street-port to the engine). Aluminum jack and Enkei alloy spare tire in the S4 vs. steel jack / spare in S5 . . S4 had normal seat belts and S5 had electric shoulder straps, S4 engine has rotors which are slightly heavier than S5, also have slightly less compression ratio - so if you are doing a rebuild, an S5 core would probably be better to start with . . .
I wanted an S5 but bought an S4 because it was soooooo much cheaper. I am glad now that I did this. Though the S5's make more power in stock form, I would rather put mods on an S4 due to the lighter weight and easier porting of the intake manifold.

Much thanks to ZachSpazz, didn't think about using "86-88 89-91 differences." Came up with a thread started by TonyTurboII (thank you to you too if you're reading this) which was sort of a "get to know the FC" kinda thing. Once again, thanks for the help
