Damnit, need quick answer.

Searched, didn't find anything that is helping.

My tail lights don't work, but my head lights do
The light switch connections may have burnt out. Check the back of the light switch. If they are burnt, you will need to replace the light switch and light switch harness.

My dash lights don't work
Did you check the dimmer control??? If you did and they still don't work the light switch connections may have burnt out. Check the back of the light switch. If they are burnt, you will need to replace the light switch and light switch harness.
That is my problem, the solution didn't help. I have tried two different dash panels and they both won't light up my side bulbs, my tail lights, or my dash lights.

I think that the harness that connects to the headlight switch can be damaged when the switch goes bad. Check the harness. Also, did you check the fuse?
Edit: I think it is either the room fuse of the illum fuse. Thats my bet on the problem.

It was the fuse. First one was blown, got one out of my parting car and it blew too.

Going to go buy a couple more, and see if I can get it fixed...

if your blowing fuse after fuse... then its not the fuse....you have a short in the sytem and you will never get them working without fixing the short

Have you done any wiring in the cabin, or is it untouched?

Not that I myself have done, but I purchased it from a lot, and I am assuming he has as there is something on it I have never seen.

Did you change the radio recently?

Most common reason for blowing the fuse is that the red/black wire at the radio has been used for ground for an aftermarket radio.

My father and brother were working on it.

*it's been installed for a few weeks, to clear any confusion.

Well if they cut the Red/Black or didn't cover it, or used it as a ground for the radio, that is your problem.

generally you want to avoid people that don't know what they are doing working on your car... this pretty much rules out family members, and Mazda dealer mechanics from working on your car.

Which fuse blew?

The ILLUM fuse feeds the light switch which feeds the tail lights. IF it keeps blowing, then do what the FAQ section recommends. Unplug the light switch and look at the pins/sockets in the plug to see if they look burnt or not. If the plug on the harness is burnt, it indicates a bad light switch harness...maybe.

The light switch harness is shown in a jpg attached. Two white plugs on one end, one Blue plug on the other. It's not two feet long.

Also a stolen jpg of a burnt light switch jack and also a schematic of your light problem as concerns the tail lights.

ILLUM fuse is blowing, and its not the pins or sockets, I have witnessed what a burned up pin/socket looks like before and took it all apart last night to make sure.

I will see what else I can do, have schooling for a couple hours today.

i would pull out that radio and check the red and black wire like icemark said. being that is the only variable, i haven't had any problems with wiring in my s4's.
