Turbonut....thanks for the urls. But, I been called a Bitch on this forum, so I'll maintain my status by saying something:
Go to those sites. Click on them. And then pretend you have a Mazda RX-7, N/A and are putting in a turboii motor and transmission .....but leaving in the n/a rear end.
Now explain how easy it is to order a driveshaft for the above situation. Does not seem too easy to me. But then again I'm lazy and don't wanna crawl under my car and remove the driveshaft, measure whatever needs measureing and try to explain over the phone what the devil I'm doing to someone.
That said, I bookmarked the sites. There.....I've maintained my Bitch title. humor, please

I agree for the most part. It would take some input on the customer's part to explain what would be needed. A few years ago I spoke with a concern (none of the above), about having them make a custom shaft for my TII. Naturally no problems because I was going to send them mine. I didn't inquire if they could make something up without a sample, just by model. I had a custom shaft make for my Firebird, once again no problem. I took them both driveshafts, told them what I wanted, and they made it to my specs.
If Mazdatrix makes custom, balanced shafts, I agree, that would definitely be the easiest avenue.

This is good because I need to know as well because I am doing the TII swap but want to keep my GTUs rear end for now. Let me see if I get this right if not please correct me if I am wrong. From what I understand the drive shafts are the same length but they have different yoke’s and end plates (the plates that bolt to the rear end). Mazdatrix sells a drive shaft with replicable U-Joints. You could just buy a Mazdatrix drive shaft for a N/A and put on the TII yoke. This was the route I was thinking about taking. Let me know if I got it wrong.

Overall lengths and diameters from the FSM:
NA manual: 967mm, Ø57mm
NA auto: 913mm, Ø57mm
Turbo: 966mm, Ø75mm
If you purchase a n/a shaft from Mazdatrix, you wouldn't be able to put a factory turbo yoke on it because it wouldn't accept the aftermarket u joints.
Give Mazdatrix a call and see if they'll supply you what you need. Turbo shaft with an n/a rear. They should be able to accommodate your request, because all their aftermarket u joints are the same size.

I had a custom driveshaft made for my t2 motor and tranny with an NA rear end. It cost $250 CDN. they used the yoke that came with the T2 trans. and made the rest of the shaft. They used some kind of dodge rebuildable U-joints to make it cheaper.
I went to a big rig driveline place, thats where id go if i were you. It will be cheaper and they do this kinda thing all the time.
I can get you the length i used if its on the reciept.
Cheers,
Jakob

Turbonut......I concede that Turbonut knows just a bunch more than I'll ever know about drive shafts, and I appreciate his information.
That said, seeing as I knew that I knew squat about driveshafts, I called Mazdatrix two weeks ago and ordered a driveshaft for a trubo conversion i.e turbo transmission to a n/a rear end. The guy didn't blink a eye or hesitate in taking the order. I got it yesterday for 242 bucks.
I've bought one factory n/a driveshaft from them and one aftermarket one with grease fittings that you can change the spider out on. Both of those work just fine so I expect that this turbo/na one will work peachy keen fine also.
A local driveshaft shop or one of those in the urls that Turbonut posted should be able to do the same thing. Maybe for less dough too. I just took the path of less resistance.
Again , thank you Turbonut.
