Couple questions on swapping steering rack...
I finally swapped my rack from p/s to manual...
I got the rack out of the an 86 S4 base and put it in my 87 GXL. What could be the ratio?
I found the power steering control unit under the dash, how do I get a good position to unplug the wires?
How exactly do I put the prothane tire-rod bushings on?
I appreciate any help.

Did research
http://www.rx7city.com/Manuals/88%20...ing_Manual.pdf
Shows something, I can't,"put 2 and 2 together", on this one.

So far, I got the Power steering unit out, one would have to sit in the driver seat upside down, with a 10mm, unscrew the town mounting nuts, and unplug it.
clokker answered the other question(thanks)
I figured out how to change the bushings I think...
Using the Rx-7 city site as a guide, one would unscrew the outer-tie rod(or the whole thing) and put what one just unscrewed onto a vise. With a chisel and a hammer, tap at the boot until something happens and the bolt comes out; than put the bolt through the bushings opening, tuck the bottom of the bushing into the hole, use the vise and push the bolt back into place.
Does it make any since?

To get the Tie rod Off the knuckle: take a impact and zip the nut off.
then get a hammer and hit the Part of the Knuckle that surrounds the tie rod PIN,(the tapered and threaded pin part of the tie rod that inserts into the Knuckle).
what will happen is that when you hit it Real HARD and it will essentially POP right out,.
