This phenenom has been documented for decades, and is included in the main course of study in aircraft pilot training. If you want to learn more, search the internet for "carburetor icing", "induction icing", and "carb heat".

What has also been documented for decades is that this is a FLAW and will NOT yield more performance. Rather, it is a situation to be AVOIDED. Fuel injection systems could quite easily include a venturi in their design, but for the above reasons it would not be a good idea. You may want to do some of your own research rather than listen to wive's tales from high school dropout drag racers.

PS: Note that I do not sell EFI or any other automotive product, so there is no reason for me have any type of bias against carburetors other than my aviation degrees, work experience, and over 20 years of experience with this subject. Regardless, you can search the internet and find out the truth for yourself if you are not afraid to learn the truth.

My daily driven car is setup close to that... Except mine is 4011 650 cfm spreadbore holley marine carb. no intercooler... We have used setups like that for a long time here in PR... As a matter of fact 10-12 years ago when we began our drag rx7 project was still 12 turbo and ran 10:80 using that same setup on a stock 1980 Rx7, so it does work... Mine is an FC 91 turbo engine, TO4B, 91 tranny and have had no problems beating anything that stands next to me on the street. Fuel injection is much more efficient no doubt but it should not be called a ghetto setup since the idea came from Mazda in the first place and also when I have beat 2 EvoVI's without the need to go past 6,500 rpm in 4th gear, it is a matter of knowing how to set it up that's all...

Here's a setup just like mine, I have had a few people ask me so I took some pics... Here you can see the TII RB Intake manifold has quite some nice clearance, the blow thru, the custom exhaust manifold with the deltagate, blow off valve etc... It uses a 12-A turbo distributor with dual msd 6al's and dual blaster2 coils... I do not use intercooler not because I don't want to but because I just hate chopping LOL... BTW I took the pics with my cell phone so they might look kinda crappy... LOL...

i guess everyone can agree for fine tuning and effiency fuel injections is were its at, but for serving there purpose i think carbs do a damn good job unless of course you boost creep to 23psi

They can handle that... and by no means I will say carb is better than efi... I'm just talking from what we got to achieve back in the days... BTW 25psi on holley no problem it can be done... Well it was done about 10 years ago... Just gotta know quite a few tricks...
