Can I Make 400rwhp on a T04E?
I might heave access to a good deal on a T04E kit with everything to bnolt it on, Ill take care of teh fuel side seperately, can I make 400rwhp with the turbo and adequate fuel/intercooler/tuning?
Dood thats way to much power its not even streetable. Why woudl you do that ?
You know your going to need alot of fuel right? Or kaboom!
Um FC's cant make 400rwp
No stand alone??? the stock ecu will KILL YOU and you will die DIEEEE. IT CANT BE DONE

gsrracer, I had no idea it was a family, I thought those numbers meant a specific turbo. I wasn't aware that there were different kinds. Thanks for clearing that up
Von, What are you talking about that 400rwhp is not streetable. And have you no faith in the FC? I will run a standalone and the right fuel setup as well as the right intercooler setup. Can't be done are powerful words.
Reted, is the t04e - 60 capable of making 400Rwhp or 400flywheel hp.

With enought boost, I think the T04E '60' can make 400whp on a rotary. I'm not sure you can do it in the 15psi zone though, probably closer to 18 psi.
You are better off getting a T04S/T04B 60-1. Although of older design, those turbo's do flow more.

.58 A/R hot side??? sell this to a Honda owner. You have a T04E comp housing with a 60-1 wheel in it? What trim turbine?For a streetable turbo making around 400wrhp @ 14~16 psi go with the T04S (a.k.a. 60-1, t60, t60-1, T04B 60-1).

The 60-1, T04E "60", and the TS04 all make about the same power and have about the same power potential on a 13B.

As long as we are talking T04 series turbos here, can someone shed some light on exactly how to pick a turbo? People seem to like the 60-1, and a friend of mine is getting 330rwhp out of one at 10PSI on a stock port S4 motor, but when I try to run the numbers the 60-1 seems mis-sized (too big, not enough boost low, and lots of good range on the turbo left but the engine is already at 8k RPM), which makes me think I'm doing my math wrong. I've been using normal calculations for a 4-stroke and doubling the displacement number to 160CI (2.6L) and a VE of 100% (which seems too high)
Using those figures, with a T04E 50 trim at 12psi, it should give full boost from 2.5k all the way to redline.
I'm looking in your direction Ted

hmmm......Im interested in this info too. I want a turbo that spools up decently quick but can hold the boost. 400rwhp is my definite goal. Fuel wise I will be going with a standalone and for injectors..............any ideas? (pump is already here, walbro 255)
Just to throw out another question, what determines if the turbo will be able to hold boost until redline? Is it the size of the compressor, or the size of the exhaust side? For example, I have a T04B S5 hybrid turbo. V-trim wheel. Should I be able to hold 12psi to ~7500RPM with a SP engine?
