bought a 7, some problems

i got an RX-7 , its pretty sweet, its black had a rebuild 2500 miles ago and a street port. intake and exhaust.

anyways i had a question for you guys regarding something, when i "get on " it oh and he also doens't hae an OMP so it has to get premix oil.

anyways ach was saying it might be old injectors sticking, its running rich as hell, and being it has premix, running rick could equal some smoke.

i really don't know what the deal is tho. the turbo is off a 91(btw)

when i accelerate, white smoke comes out the back

possible reasons

sticking fuel injector

car is running insanely rich, and since i use premix, might just be the oil in the premix burning.

or any other possible problems you guys can think of.

White smoke = coolant= internal coolant seal leak, broken down wall for the seal etc.

Anybody want to raise this? By adding another( =) ????

Not all rebuilds are =

But tell you what. If the car has a good amount of anti freeze in it, then if the seals are bad you should be smelling a sickly sweet smell of the antifreeze in the exaust. No antifreeze smell = a chance its some other thing.

no smell of antifreeze, it smells like gas and oil, oil being the premix

Oil smoke is a greyish blue....white is antifreeze. Pull rad. cap when cold and rev up the engine....see if bubbles appear....if so you have bad coolant seals...if not you can start looking elsewhere.

6 oz's of what brand/type of oil?

It shouldn't smoke oil at 100:1.

My bet is on the antifreeze. What fluids need topping off and when. If it is antifreeze, it will be noticeable because you'll have to top of the bottle/rad every now and then.

Keep driving and how much smoke is coming out of the back?.

Ok. How about the turbo seals going bad?????? You'd have said something about diappearing coolant, so now I'll go with the turbo seal. New rebuild so I can't go with the rotor oil seals. Turbo seal it is then...for now. Only does it when he gets on it.
