boost!

i have searched and searched but no luck. everytime my car goes above 2 psi on my autometer gauge, my car makes this noise similar to a belt squeeling, i have checked the belts and tension and after some tests, ruled them out. it will do this as long as i am boosting and some people tell me it is a boost leak. i have tried to locate and fix the leak but none of the hoses or connections after the turbo seem to have anything wrong with them i have tightened and retightened all the joints around the intercooler. still it makes this noise with is only getting worse. my car really feels it too like its leaking boost somewhere cause its not so fast any more. you can still boost a little and the turbo spools like normal but at a certain point the car starts to squeel. back off on the gas pedal a bit and it goes away. i can hear the turbo whine and it sounds normal. this is not speed or rpm or gear realative. only boost realative.
any one with experience about boost leaks give me some pionters about where to look and what it could be. thanks

How do you check the housings? I guess hes talking about compressor/turbine housings. Pull the turbo and see how they look.

For how to make more boost, get a new catback and a custom TID and cone filter. You will need a FCD and possibly to port the wastegate if you see too much boost then. Try just the intake first, its cheapest and should get you to around 8psi or so.

TID??? Turbo Inlet Duct?? Where can I get one?
Also, boost skyrockets to 6-7psi and stops dead at that level like something is telling it to stop??? any thoughts.

Ok, so you have a full exhaust with a high flow cat, and an intake and only see 6psi? What kind of gauge is this on? Have you tried the cheap manual boost controller? Maybe a boost leak? When you get to 6-7psi, does it hesitate fairly badly?
