I did a little research on this before and here is what ive found that applies to me....

1-beep, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of speed sensor signal:
In case broken wires or short circuits occur to sensors or harnesses, the buzzer sounds 60-seconds after the engine speed signal of 2200 rpm continues for 18-seconds.

swapped another ecu into my car while trying to fix my waterthermosensor. I had it in the car for about 10 mins before I re-hooked the original... while I was doing this I spliced a new connector onto my wiring harness for the watersensor....

MAYBE i spiced the sensor backwards and the sensor is grounded and THATS why the beeping from the steering column???? OR am I dumb and you cant connect the waterthermo BACKWARDS?

speed sensor is in the cluster and comes from the speedo. Is your speedo working?

 

or i see, it dosent deal with the entire harness just the PS and stuff.. sorry i thought I messed up my water thermosensor...

but then why is it beeping???
my speedo does work!
thought it might be the seat belt sensor but that dosent shut it up...

what could it be then.. its just one beep after another...

 

would the beeping come from the car needing more PS fluid? I had it topped up but maybe thats it
