Do all warning lights come on when you flip the key to accessory position? It could just be an indication of a burnt out light bulb on the dash.

When I first got mine, it would beep at random times. I think it was something to do with the seatbelt not being connected, or something.

if it's a constant beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. then it's something in the dash lights. low oil, coolant etc. if it's a beep beep beep beep etc then it's the power steering if you have it. if you don't have P/S then who knows

If it's 5 beeps and then a gap and so on - it's from the power steering computer.

mine buzzes when i make a heavy right turn (i'm pretty sure its right). i think its my oil, but no light comes on. i have a feeling my oil light recently went out, though. lil bastard was working not too long ago.
also, my seatbelt light is stuck on (well, was, until i took out the light). i always thought thats what was causing the beeps. i'm gonna check and see if its the infamous P/S problem. i normally just turn up my radio and ignore it.

A thought....

It could be the Roadrunner hiding under your dash from the Coyote

Wait, that would be a "meep meep", not a beep beep.

My bad.

it could be your alarm....just hit snooze! but seriously, you can get the error codes off the ECU if any. do a search on this forum for "error codes" and do some research on how to read them yourself. then come back with more questions...and dont freak out with all the shouting titles for your threads hehe.

I had this exact same problem. 5 "beeps" then a pause...over and over. I'd be driving down a straight-a-way...the beeping would start...if I made the car swerve left of right, it would stop...only to start again when I'd be going straight. I finally found out where the "beeper" was - it's right under the steering column - just to the left of the column if you are down there looking up - a small 4"X5" metal box. Take that off it's bracket - two nuts hold it in place, and unscrew the four screws holding the cover of it in place. Inside you will "find" that little beeper - it's a small magnetic coil. Just take a phillips screw driver and poke it into the top hole and viola - no more "beep". Admittedly, now you LITTERALLY do not HAVE a beeper...but...it was driving me crazy to listen to that darn thing going off all the time. According to the error codes, it is the powersteering unit sending off the error codes... a power steering error code didn't seem to important to me...no more beep. Hope this helped.

Frank

ROFLMAO!! LOL! That was great!

Seriously, 5 beeps is power steering. Check belts, connections, fluid level. Resolder PS computer.

you dont want to take the computer off, if it comes on on straights and goes off on turns it means the sensor in your steering wheel is disconnected. here is a thread explaining that https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=39689

your car has speed sensitive steering and it only does this after the car drives for a certain amount of time while the computer senses the wheel is "turned" due to the misaligned sensor.

check that before you go ripping computers out of your car.

this is what the beeping is...

Its a diagnostic computer under the drivers side dash... to the right of the steering column.... there are two wire harnesses (2 plugs) disconnect them and thats it...

yeah man it's your power steering. I had the same problem it took me 6 montyhs to figure it out because I didn't know about this forum. it is most likly your pump. the speed sinsitive steering acts up some time and the only way to fix it is to replace it or loose. I would say loose it. you save weight and I like the steering feel after. be sure you take out the power steering computer or you will forever have that beep
