ok so im new to the rotary scene, please help me out and answer some questions.
1)what type of engines come in a 2nd gen? im mainly interested in the turbo versions...I also heard that the 2nd gen and the 3rd gen share the same engine just different turbonetics, is that true?
and
2) i have recently come acros this bodykit some one told me it was a gp-sports body kit....is that so? do the fenders come with the kit? if not then what kind of fenders are they " ilove the wide body" and last is where can i get that kit and the fenders?

I really think doing that to an FC is a tad ricey, but alright...whatever floats your boat.

The FC3S (Chassis Code), known as the 2nd Gen. RX-7 came with two engines.

Both are 1.3 Litre Twin-Rotor Wankel Rotary Engines...As I just mentioned, they came in two configurations. N/A (Naturally Aspirated) and Turbo (Force Induction).

The N/As, when new, put out 146chp. That's CRANK Horse Power, not what you're getting at the wheels. You lose power as you go down the powertrain to the wheels...

The Turbo's came with 188chp, when new.

I just listed the S4 specs...but remember, there are two Series in the 2nd Generation. S4 and S5 (Series 4 and Series 5).

S5 N/As had 160chp
S5 Turbos had 200chp

There's an FAQ at stickied at the top of this 2nd Gen Section...read it. In fact, read everything there. Before asking questions, it's a good idea to do some searching first, before posting a thread. This way, you can avoid some of the more not-so-friendly members of this site. You've been warned...

Dunno what body kit that is, and I personally don't dig the spoiler. Good luck, and welcome aboard!

The S4 (87-88) turbo came with 182 HP in stock trim not 188.

no, the third gens did not share the same engine, they were 13BREW's iirc with sequential twin turbo's and they put out 255hp at the crank, they also were very different from any other rx7 made but thats just my opinion.

GP sports and Mariah both make pretty ricy kits, personally i like the way my 91vert looks stock, but different strokes for different folks

Well...I was going to correct it, but apparently the 'Edit' button disappeared.

errr... the 3rd gen was still a 13B and was not "very diffrent"
most major parts swap in between the 2nd and 3rd gens

its a GP sport kit, they are all over ebay and version select.
the wing is RE Amemiya their is a replica for sale on www.corksport.com
the fender flares look generic who knows who their made by.

AutoRnD has a bunch of different widebody fenders, those fronts look like the ones from Corksport. If you want a really wide kit, then Tri-Point Engineering is the way to go.

As for the 3rd gen engine, there's a bunch of differences, and it won't bolt up to the FC, but it's still got the same basic architecture, and parts will swap between it and the FC engine.

Turbonetics is a company, turbos are what are on the engines.
