Uhmmm... Nope. That will melt within 5 minutes of use.
Use anti-seize compound. They sell it at the check out lanes of advance auto, auto zone etc.
You use teflon tape for water and air threaded connections. There's nothing to seal... the crush washer is what's sealing it, along with the threads themselves.

if i counted the thousands of plugs i have replaced over the years i would probably see my life flash before my eyes.
i have never once galled a spark plug thread.
on occasion i will use anti-sieze if i feel the threads were binding up while removing the plug but it is rather rare that i need to.
anti sieze will not prevent a siezure regardless of how much you want to believe it will. sometimes when it dries it can become sticky and start to grab, i much prefer clean threads to gunked up threads with anti sieze on them.

well if you havent seen galling your just lucky, not your superior way of plug installation/ removal. good anti seize WILL REDUCE seizure, not a 100% thing. Ive also installed with no anti seize and gone without problems, but its a nice insurance to have anti seize on them. Plus I remove my plugs every 3-6 months anyway to check them, so they never have a chance to freeze in the threads

No tape huh? Not a problem. Going to replace the plugs today, and thought I should check. And if the threads get messed up I can just rethread them. I only plan on removing the plugs when I am replacing them, say once a year.

The ONLY fittings that Teflon tape gets used on are NPT pipe thread fittings and some straight thread fittings that don't seal wth an o-ring. Spark plugs (and every threaded fitting that doesn't need sealer/tape) get anti-seize.
