Question balljoints

i was pulling the rear out of my car and 1 of my ball joints fell apart. can i put the old 1 back together or do in need 2 buy a new 1.?? if i can put it back together what would be the easiest way 2 do that???

also does any1 know where i can get a new gasket for my diff without goin to a dealer???

if it fell apart you are going to need a new ball joint. if you try to just put it togethter it will only fall apart while u are driving and snap the wheel off. thats not so bad right? and as far as a diff gasket, just make one with rtv it will be way esier than finding a gasket and will probably last longer

idk in the fsm it said ball joint...should i buy a used axle or should i just buy a new link???

wait!!! before you do that! my friend is parting out an s4 and an s5 in norther NJ close to the garden state mall....pm me if you would rather buy from him...he sells everything dirt cheap...i bought a whole 5 lug swap w/rims/tires and good brakes for 200 and im about to go pick up a front and rear bumper and a front fender for 30 bucks....let me know and ill text him im sure hell give you a good deal

The lateral link has 2 ball joints on the ends of it. Either go aftermarket, or get the whole arm new or used. You cant just get the ball joint
