Are S5 and S4 fuel pump assemblies interchangeable?

So are the S4 and S5 fuel pump assemblies interchangeable?? I've got an S5 vert with a TII swap, it had the NA fuel pump assembly. I installed a Haltech about a year and a half ago, so I modified the stock S5 NA fuel pump assembly for the rewiring of the fuel pump. I recently switchd back to a completly stock TII setup (stock N370 ecu, all stock harnesses and all). I have an S4 NA fuel pump assembly, so I'm wondering if I can use that one instead of the S5 NA fuel pump assembly?

WOW! Sorry about the multiple posts! My computer must be going crazy! :/

The S5 assembly is longer and has a connector on top without a harness.

the S5 tank is a little bigger, you could use the S4 but you would then lose the use of that extra gas.

What you should do it just switch the actual pump from the assembly you want to use to the one that fits. I just did this myself a few weeks ago, takes all of 5 mins.

Okay, so I guess what I'm trying to ask is, are the elecrtical connectors on the NA S4 assembly the same as an S5 assembly? Can I plug in the S4 assembly connector to the S5 body harness and have my fuel pump work properly? Thanks for the replies so far guys!

Read my above post, the eletrical connectors don't matter, the S4 assembly won't fit in your tank anyways.

Just swap the actual pump and be done with it, takes just a few mins and it will be done right.

My S5 assembly is not an option, it was modified for the Haltech fuel pump wiring and flow. I had -8 steel braided fuel lines from the tank to the bay so I had to do some cutting of the stock assembly, which is why I'm not using it

Just out of curiousity, how do you figure the S4 assembly doesn't fit in the S5 tank? The only difference on the two is the connector is actually on the the assemply instead of having the harness and it's about 1/4" longer on the S5. I've got the S4 assembly bolted in the car.

Ok, that makes more sense.

The S4 will fit in the tank but you will be making your tank "smaller" in that you will lose a few gallons worth of useable gas since the S4 is shorter.

Otherwise it should work fine, i would just take the wiring off the S5 assembly and transfer it to the S4 if this is what you are going to do.

Not sure about the S5 but in the S4 there is a yellow connector by the airbox that when you jump will turn on the pump with the ign.

You can try looking on yours and see if it is the same.
