Question S5 Front control arm balljoints?

I recently replaced the front bushings with ES stuff and put RB springs on.

When I turn the front wheels from lock to lock in parking lot driving I hear a pop from the front end. I have not inspected everything yet for proper torques and stuff.

However, I have heard that a pop could mean balljoint troubles.

So, for my information. If you need to replace front control arm balljoints in a S5 you have to replace the entire control arm?

Thanks!

James

Yes.

What really sucks is when the only problem is that boot is torn and all the grease keeps getting pressed out...

Or pick up a set of s4 control arms with replacable ball joints.

I was wondering about that.

The only thing that I think would be different would be the sway bar link braze on.

Or are they the same?

Josepi - Are you saying the popping could be fixed by putting in more grease? Or is the damage already done?

They were different, but easily fixed. I just don't remember what I had to do. I'll take a look over the weekend.
