But victoria british charges like $20 shipping/handling (at least to IL), i would try mazda, it'll probably be cheaper than buying a whole new one, and you won't have to deal with taking a boot off a joint. I don't know if anybody else sells just the boot.

if the boots have been torn for a while, then they probably have moisture and grit in there already and it'll continue to get worse over time... like he said victoria british has them cheap and a stealership won't cut you any deals of their own... i'm saving up for ball joints and tie rod ends from VB myself.

well heres why i need them. I was taking the steering knuckle off of the control arm and had to heat the bolt that pinched the ball joint. When i did that i toasted the boot. I took a good look at the boot and there is a pinch ring you remove and the boot comes off. Not really Rocket Science. It is an S5 arm which means it a solid balljoint+control arm combo. when i took the boots of i sealed them up with some plastic wrap to keep moisture and contaminats out. Any ideas?

These are the energy suspension boots are they not? Do they still use the metal ring to hold them on or do you just plop them on them crush them in? Have you ever used them before?
The reason i am skeptic is i had a set of these with the same part number before and they were nowhere near the same thing.

First off BigDICK energy suspension boots won't work there is no slot for the ring to seal the joint. (sound like u sealed enough joints to understand) Second we are not talking about a balljoint, we are talking about the ******* boot. Third I don't have a VB catalog that would be why i asked for the part number brainiac. Fourth, I live in MI it takes a weekto two weeks for anything to get shipped to me, I want to be positive i am getting the right part. Finnaly Fifth, get the thumb out of your *** before u sound like an IDIOT all the time.

hah...

call them up... i'd bet they have decent customer service. the only boot replacement i saw in the VB catalog was for the tie rod end but it's possible they have the ball joint boot as well... didn't really look that hard. maybe try atkins rotary too, they've helped me find random stuff before.

Why not call mazda and see what these cost? They are the S5 balljoint boots, separately replacable from the lower control arms. Part number: FC02-34-313
