Bad fuel pump?

Before I go and send money I was looking to get a second opinion. Fuel pump is not priming when the key is in the "on" position. I am getting power to the harness clip in the trunk where the fuel pump plugs to. I plugged my laptop in to my Haltech to make sure the Haltech was getting power and loading the map to tell the pump to prime, and it connected just fine. So I'm assuming that it's has to be the Fuel pump? I'm running a FD pump and there was always a slight whine when it would prime. Maybe it kicked the bucket.

Well if you've verified power with a multimeter (which is sounds like you have), either the pump is not making connection in the tank, or it's dead.

If you want to prove it to yourself experimentally just disconnect the pump and apply 12V directly. I'd advise using a fuse or current limited power supply.

Hmm I pulled the whole assembly out and when I gave it power and ground, to the ground and power on the pump it made a noise and fuel started coming out of the sock. x.x Pump is good then?

If it's coming out of the sock, it was put in backwards... Situations like this are why I have a dedicated 12v/5v power supply for bench testing. A properly working fuel pump will make a "poot-poot" sound. Fake walbros sound like a mechanical cat growling

I've been driving on this pump for like 8 months though I doubt its been hooked up backwards this whole time. Only when I pulled it and gave it power and ground to the power and ground wires coming off of the pump did it wanna do anything. It did have the mechanical cat growl when priming before but after it primed it was silent.
