Audio system help
Hi all,
My ‘86 Sport has the original radio/tape deck/equalizer system. The left channel doesn’t work all the time. Mostly not very often. Sounds like a bad connection but, I haven’t found any yet.
I’ve checked the speakers, checked the resistance as outlined in the FSM. The one on line only applies to amplified rear speakers, mine are not but both channels read~26 ohms. I checked for grounded speaker wires. I also removed the amplifier and looked for obvious damage or bad solder joints as best I could....nada.
Any one have ideas? A wiring diagram for the amp?
TIA..Greydog

Does the left channel crackle at all when you move the volume **** (or balance/fade)? I had a similar issue that I fixed by soaking the volume pot in Deoxit. The stock units are getting old and have all kinds of gunk in them by now.
