I just bought a 3rd Gen, here is the problems with my BOSE SYSTEM:

1)FM doesn't work at all, I here music in the distance, but my back speakers are real scratchy

2)When I play CD's, only 1 of my front three speakers play at a time (left, right, or the speaker on the dash)

3) My AM radio does work

Is there a way to fix this? I think its just a wiring problem, as obviously its not the antenna if my AM works. Or do I have to go out and buy a whole new system???

Please help, as listening to AM radio all day is not cool.

 

Upgrade to an aftermarket system.

 

Most likely the wiring, but why not upgrade the head unit if your gonna be upgrading the wiring.

 

Where would be a good place to look for a good aftermarket system? and how much would i be looking at to replace the cd and 5 speakers w/out an amp or woofer?

 

It really depends on how good of a system you want. If you need to have the best, or your ok with a decent system.

oh yeah, when i decide to do away with the stock stereo system, im not putting in a stereo, im gonna run a computer with a lil touchscreen LCD, that way i can use it to control datalogit, gps, mp3, avi, dvd, etc!

 

i fixed mine by changing the head unit and cd player with working used ones... they sell for cheap!
