Am I searching wrong?

Ok before I need to ask my question I want to search this but I think I'm asking the wrong thing. I'm trying to research on raising the redline in my S4 to S5's. I know about the fuel cut/ rev limiter, so I checked under the 2nd gen arch and the ECU forums. What type of key words am I looking for. I tried some of the following:
raising redline, fuel cut, rev limiter, SAFC, stand alone engine management etc... none have turned up results that relate to increasing ones redline.

thanks

Are you trying to raise the redline for additional power or for instruments, or ECU control???

bear in mind that the intakes are not designed for any additional power past redline, so without porting or other modifications you will not gain any additional HP.

And the s4 flywheel is very heavy and shouldn't be run much past redline anyway.

I believe I'm doing this for HP. I forgot to post my sif which has all my mods and since I have near S5 specs I thought it should be higher.

Do you have the VDI working or wired high?

and what flywheel are you using?

Either way you should be able to run up to 8000 at the peak, and not get the ECU cutting in.

the VDI is working fine (actuated off back pressure) and the flywheel is stock. So are you saying that I should be able to right now, without having any fuel cut or rev limiter, shift at 8000 rpms instead of the normal 7000?? or should I get an SAFC to make sure that I still get fuel that high??

If it is a S5 flywheel, then yes I would think the stock system should be able to keep up, BUT the SAFC will help anyway and is always recommended on moderatly moded engines.

The S4 flywheel however I wouldn't run up too many times to 8K. Its just too heavy and not designed for that kind of RPM for sustained or repeated periods.
