turbo auto block into maunal turbo ?????

So i've been looking around a bit and couldn't find anything (maybe searching the wrong way) I have an s5 with a now blown tII but i'm looking at buying an automatic turbo II and swap the block in. do i need to do much besides swapping the tranny out? i'm keeping all my wiring and stuff from my old swap, of course. Maybe i'll need to change the counter balance or something? help a brother out!

Turbo II cars were never sold in the US with an automatic transmission.

Could be a JDM, but it's not clearly stated either way.

anyways, all you need to do is put a pilot bearing in and change the flywheel.

Aren't throttle bodies different between auto and 5-speeds also? Or that a minute issue?

there would be an additional vacuum line for the vacuum modulator on the transmission. just cap it off.

If you are contemplating this, then now would be the time to think about a light flywheel as the Auto Engine would come with the Counterweight needed to install a light flywheel.
Just use the six bolts and Voila..bolt it to the Counterweight.Slap on a clutch and your golden.
*(as Lyger said though a PILOT bearing IS needed..this should be stressed!)
The Stock Turbo engine set up with a manual trans has the regular flywheel which has the counterweight Built into it's casting.

Rotary engines from japanese importers are somewhat hit or miss. You may get a junk engine because they don't know what they're doing or they're crooks.
Read up on other peoples' experiences and see if you're willing to take the risk. Budget for a rebuild just in case.

a rebuilt engine costs the same as a junk imported engine, i can rebuild one if needed.

but people just don't wanna spend the money any more.
