Has anyone done this install yet? I am interested in details how or if you were able to attach the actual vent piping to the triangles. This is important if you want them to actually demist/defog. The original deteriorated vent for the demisters has another deteriorated trim piece that connected the vent pipe to the triangle. Since they are both trash, I was hoping that someone else had already solved this challenge.
Thoughts?
Dash opening, vent pipe below, drivers side
Original demister triangle, drivers side with the lower flange
Original demiste triangle, drivers side with the lower flange side view
What a nice part! but how to attach so the vent actually demists side view?
What a nice part-but how to attach so the vent actually demists top view?

Yup, looks like we might need an update on the entirety of the grille. The vent attaches to the lower portion of the demister grille so if you don't have it, there isn't much to hold the end of the vent in place.
This looks like it was made for show rather than use; but, there isn't an entirely a lot of air flow coming through the grilles anyway

Not a lot of air coming out of mine because the vent pipe is about an inch and a half from the hole. If we can find a way to seal the vent top to the dash opening, there will be more air coming out!
I calculate that a piece of replacement defroster hose 2-3/4' to 3" diameter will slip over the top of the vent beneath the dash. Extend the hose up (it's about 1-1/2 to 2" space) to the opening in the dash. Glue with silicone or epoxy to the actual dash. Then mount the triangle in the opening.
