AEM Tru-Boost setup

just got this installed anyone know's how to set it to the right psi i want to run. i got a stock 87 t2 and wanna run it at 6 or 7 psi.

your car does that stock, if you want to lower your boost from modified exhaust, you are going to have to remove the turbo and port the wastegate.

what about the wastegate spring rate? and should i leave it at 10% duty cycle?

10 psi is max you should be doing at teh most on stock turbo no port.

A boost controller or spring swap cannot lower boost because the wastegate is too small. With a few mods, the pitifully small stock wastegate is overwhelmed. You need to port the wastegate.

The guy has enough sense not to crank the boost up and blow his engine, and people tell him this? 10psi is too much on stock fuel. Hopefully you guys are just joking or uninformed, because advice like this will junk yet another rotary. There's a reason Mazda put the fuel cut level at 8.6psi.

The wastegate setting on the Tru-Boost does next to nothing on my car. Don't even bother setting it. Just move the (A) to whatever boost level you want and leave all the other functions alone.
