I've attempted to search for a solution for a few days now but I've come up short so wanted to ask before replacing the headlights to be sure if it is the bulbs that have gone.
the headlights function normally, then when pulling the dimmer the highbeam dashlight comes on and the relay is heard, but the lights just turn off.
minor note is there are 2 loose red wires infront of the left suspension in the engine bay, and if anyone could point out what they're related to aswell that'd be very helpful!
the red wire on the left near the battery, and red grounding wire on the right not connected to anything, also the 2 green connectors which I'm not as concerned about but there's also one on the other side. I'm not into the wireing of cars very much so any help here is much appreciated!
I hope this helps, also im planning on getting new bulbs just in case anyway.
I dont know if or when they blew since this was a sitter I've bought which is in great condition except for the odd electrical issue
Also the headlight issue was resolved with new bulbs. And if it's not too much to ask, do you have an idea as to what could be causing the instrument lights and domelight to not light up, aswell as the horn not functioning, there is no relay fireing outside of the horn button itself clicking.
The bulbs in both the domelight and the entire instrument cluster have been replaced and tested to work outside of the car, but with no sucess inside
pull off headlight connector from both headlights.
jam the high beam switch so it stays engaged.
test for power at the high beam terminal on both connectors. Oh which one is it? There are 3 terminals. 1 ground, 1 12v for low beam, 1 12v for high beam. Test continuity to ground to find ground. Use low beam headlight switch to find low beam terminal. Other one is high beam.
do the high beam terminals have power when the high beam switch is pulled? Headlight bulbs are bad. Verify by applying ground and 12v to ground and high beam terminals, appropriately.
if this does not solve the issue, then you have a wiring issue between the switch and the headlight connectors.
reference FSM for wiring schematics if you need to go further into this problem.

i would check the fuse, i don't recall if its the room fuse or the meter fuse
the horn is likely to be the CPU unit, if you're lucky, there is a bad solder joint, if not lucky you get to replace parts on the circuit board
I've looked at the diagram a bit and I'm wondering if you couldn't just snip these 2 wires and join them to use the horn with just the switch in the steeringwheel.
I'm probably entirely wrong but couldn't hurt to ask! otherwise plan might involve just installing a seperate horn by itself to atleast pass inspections, as I'm not too keen on messing with the CPU
Fun thing happened, we went to check the connection at the horn just to see if it had just seized, and the connection was fine, and it just started working after it got plugged in again lol
