How do i prevent the headlights from popping up when i turn on the lights?

ok electrical wiring gurus,
i was wondering if there was a particular wire or something i can disable to prevent the headlights from popping up when i turn on the lights. since i have a separate switch for raising the lights i would just use that. i guess basically what i want is a form of daytime running lights.
TIA

Pull the retractor fuse.
It's on the left strut tower main fuse panel.

There is a relay that controles the headlight motors (up/down) but when you remove the relay the headlight will no longer flip up and down, you will have to manually control them via the ***** located under the car (just under the headlights on bottem of car)

I took the relay's out to run the sleep eye set up.

but i still want them to work with the other switch. the methods you have told me would seem to disable them altogether.

I'd think of a different way to do it then just leaving the lights on in the down position. The flash to pass lenses are made of a relatively soft plastic. The headlights are directly behind them. The lights get very hot. You will melt the backs of the flash to pass lenses fairly quickly. My best friend liked driving around with the headlight rods disconnected and he did melt his. They don't fall out but they start to look really bad. Try holding the brights on for a few minutes when the lights are in the down position then shut them off and go feel the lenses and make your own assumptions.
