Fd pumps pully has a serpentine belt . Turbo II's pully is the older V kind.

The FD wp spins backwards so you'll need to convert to an entire serpentine pulley set.

an FC pulley won't fit on an FD alt's shaft. You need to get one from silverrotor or from hIGGI(rotor shaped) to keep dual v-belts. To swap to a serpentine setup you need to do more work than its worth for just going FD alt! You need to be jizzin your pants over it, which I doubt you should be unless your doing something major.

You need the whole water pump, the water pump housing and the pulleys from the alt and eccentric shaft. This is what everyone here agree's on, however I don't think anyone has done it.

I looked into this a little further and I came across something that mentioned that the front cover on the second gen will interfear with the water pump housing from the FD, as they use a slightly different front cover? Can anyone confirm this?

There is some work to be done to make it fit I can tell you that. Also if you're N/a you need to cap/plug off water lines. You also need to do something about the AST nipple. Some say conver to AST some say retrofit to overflow bottle. Its a lot of BS for just what he wants to do, like i said.

Yea in the end, I seriously don't think its really worth it. What comes to mind is if the power steering brackets, pump and air pump will fit from the FD as well if you want those features?
I'll just stick with the stock Vbelts for now.

if you go with the fd alternator i hope your getting one of silverrotors kits, it comes WITH the pulley on it for a second gen. That would save you a lot of hassles.

i wouldn't mind using the FD water pump etc. if the waterpump has extra fitting for say, my turbo water return, serpentine belts or superior to these icky screeching v-belts (yes mine ARE tight enough), there is that cogged belt/pulley assembly thats been a current thread

Cool $288.25USD gilmer kit

i was planning on going with the gilmer puller kit but i dont think they make the pully for the S6 ALT. if there isnt any way i can machine the duel Vbelt pully that i have then ill get intouch with HiGGi for one of those cool looking rotor shaped ones lol.. converting everything over is way out of my reach and isnt worth it just for the ALt swop like rx7 guy said.. im trying to upgrade the ALT, powder coat my FMIC piping, polish the end tanks, get the wheels mounted, all before the morning of rotor fest. ..

Alternatively, you can go with the 86-92 and 20B aluminium serpentine belt pulley conversion kit.
