Electric fan on my TII??

Ok so I just noticed this the other day, but while looking at my radiator, I noticed a small electric fan on the side opposite of the engine fan, what is this for?

I was thinking about moving it down a tad to fit infront of the oil cooler to help temps. WOuld you guys suggest it? Basically it would be on all the time.

Yeah.. it should aslo be hooked up to that little sensor on the water neck.... (if you disconnect the sensor.. that fan will be on all the time)

I dont think thats such a good idea to move it around.. However, I did use one of the bottom mounting points for the bracket I made for my MSD box!!!!!

Ive heard of guys using high flow CPU case fans on the BACK side of their oil coolers to promote flow through the oil cooler..

My suggestion is to have the oil cooler cleaned inside and out.. just checked mine and its full of muck in the fins... looks like the old owner parked the car in a mud hole or something... I feel a littel retarded because i've even had the cooler OUT of the car and MOOVED it 1 inch to the right when i put my IC pipes through and didn't notice it..

THe other option, which is my next project, is to make some special ductwork to get air under my FMIC and directly onto the oil cooler... Basically, I'm going to eliminate the stock undertray and fab up a dual layered duct that goes from the front of the car, under the IC and to the oil cooler and Rad to supplement the air that is lost by the addition of the FMIC..
