So what if they are easy to swap, do you want to buy the injectors twice?

The ID2000 will work for him, give him room for the future, and will be all around better then stock injectors.

I'd say go for the Injector Dynamic 2000cc injector, I saw a video with 4 of those on a stock Honda B18 engine, and they were able to make em run incredibly smooth, blew my mind.

On another note, using another different set of injectors, would be more logical. Considering that those would be capable of over 600 HP, which most people would consider race engine only. Since this is going to be a DD, for the same amount, I think, get a set of Injector Dynamic 1000cc injectors, setup would be easier. Even if you got the 2000cc injectors I don't see the point, you would not reach the potential of the injectors easily and would not be possible with the stock turbo.

But here's another question, are you planning on eventually ever turning this into a race car? drag or track or otherwise? If not then why get the 2000cc injectors?

but i thought that when you go stand alone you can adjust the injectors..meaning
if i have a 2000cc injector running at 10percent efficiency then it wont be putting out 2000cc of gas. thus causing the injectors to last FOREVER

Efficiency? You mean duty cycle?

Nobody is claiming he will have too much fuel. Please don't post if you don't understand the discussion.

Not all injectors are created equal. Usually the bigger the injector the less control you have, meaning its hard to get a 2000cc injector to squirt a small amount of fuel. The ID2000s don't have this problem, and that's why they are awesome.

Most engineers (myself) and rotary builders/tuners will tell you that it is best to run the smallest injectors you need. Better spray pattern, atomization, and fuel mixture/charge. All that adds up to more complete combustion which is better for everything including power.

Also a super short duty cycle is not necessarily a good thing for the injector. They will foul easier. Granted high duty cycles will burn them up.

We spoke with mazdatrix and we are getting an s5 turbo that will first be sent to BNR to get a bigger compressor housing. No word on injectors yet because the motor is still apart. I will post more as build continues, i wish i could post pics of the journey but mazdatrix is 2 hours away from me.

I'm going to mazdatrix tomorow to take some pics of the progress so far. I found out today we are getting a new engine harness for the car to. Also I had a broken motor mount and tranny mount, so it was a good time for the car to make it to the shop.

These ones were just for for fun. I have more of a nice wagon with a FD motor and a nice coilover setup that I will post sometime. Also I talked to Kyle Mohan which was pretty cool, He's a cool guy. I asked him about getting into drifting and he said it took him about a year to really learn to drift.

The offsets are +35 front and +43 rear

Does anybody have recomended tire sizes? and would this set up sit flush or will I need wheel spacers?

The contrast in duty cycles will no doubt make it more difficult than with an injector set that is more evenly matched. Go for it, I won't be offended. Now to suggest that the OP go out and overbuild his fuel system by about 100-150% for a STOCK TURBO engine is insanely overkill. Can it be done? Sure. Is it a logical modification? No.

Just an update.......... Didn't make it to the dyno but did a little street tuning. Reconfigged the ecu/map for the new injectors flowing 715/2200cc's and went for a drive........ absolutely ZERO issues with staging. No bucking, no surging, couldn't feel it at all. Didn't pull the logs but I'll be more than happy to do so and post them up.

Spacer would be needed in the rear, you'd need at least a 10mm spacer to get it flush enough that you won't need a fender roll, and a 20mm spacer to be flush with rolled fenders - running 0 - (-1) Deg of camber. Fronts will be quite close to the suspension if you have OE style shocks and springs; you'd need a 5mm spacer for close to flush fitment with a minor (if any) roll on the fender. You can use a larger spacer to bring the wheel/tire out more, but it will require more rolling (and pulling if needed).

On my black FC I ran 17x9 +24 all around, with rolled (and a little pull) fenders. New car is running +17 offset, had to pull the fenders quite a bit to fit those and 255's

Hmm... I really don't want to roll the fenders... I love the way it looks but i've seen some that were horribly done and I don't want mine to turn out like that and it's a 10ae so i'm trying not to mess with the body.

I want the wheels to sit flush with no rolled fenders, so 10mm spacer in rear and the front can be left as is? Will it actually rub on the suspension in the front? cuz I can't have that.

I would fit up the wheels myself to check clearances but the car is in the shop still and no tires yet. Recomendations on tires? size and brand. it's a dd
