here is the progress from this weekend

i got the intake manifold done minus an aluminum 3" 90 that needs to be welded on the end of the throttle body

the throttle body is off of an LS1 and is a 75mm, so it is about just right

um did acouple of block off plates, got timming set, redid the clutch line and bleed the bastard.

did the 4" DP and ceramic coated the DP, turbine wheel and center section

got some of the fuel plumbing done aswell... should get the parts in the mail to finish it tommorrow

should be able to fire it up tommorrow if i get stuff and have enough time

just need to do the oil feed/drain for the turbo, and oil cooler lines....

the manifold will be painted soon

after i get her started and run in alittle to see how everything works

here are some of the car and the way it sits.....

here are some of the DP and coated center section

um and some of the TB and rest of some progress

that is all

ha... on hte one pic i noticed that the injectors and rail look all crooked and ****

they are just not fully seated

thought id throw that out there

and i modded the stock primary rail to fit in the fd intermediate housing also, required alittle cutting and welding

just a thought....

did you ever think about wrapping the DP and/or making a heat shield for the intake manifolds? i understand you coated the DP but the intake tubing looks somewhat thin to me and made me think about heat soak. but then doing both would be just as good, no?

..just a thought

HOLY ****, you built this in 10 seconds!!... man, mine is taking way too long then.

I like the placement of the turbo, nice way to keep it way from the mani.

That compressor is huge compared to the turbine.

seriously, this forum is the most sarcastic, hardest to please group of automotive guys I can think of. The fact that you have this many people crapping their pants in anticipation for this video/pics is a testiment to how impressive this build is.

Good Job.

Now lets see a video!

well i had my fair of stress last night and this morning getting this thing running....... it ended up being the most simplistic and stupidest thing ever.

I had some problems with the camera and the video for sure, it was recording in some strange format and the quality is shitty, becasue i had to convert it

and only one pic works and that is of the fuel rail finished where i welded on the aluminum fittings

But yeah all in all it runs like a champ and cant wait to drive it, i have vac lines and wires everywhere in the video and that will all be cleaned up tommorrow, as i have to do one brake line and throttle cable before i can drive it.

i am suprised byhow fast the turbo spins at idle..... surley as much or more than what my pt67 did...... and spools free revving to 3.5k alot more than i thought it would

sorry about the quality of the vid again.... the sound and actions are out of time aswell

i am just blipping the throttle to about 3.5k, and i had the timming locked at 5 ATDC too during the vid so that is why it is acting kinda funny, that is with just the 4" dp too

good pics and good vid tommorrow i promise

ha.... no making fun of my ghetto water hoses and clamps either.... those will be changed

Wow I'm incredibly, INCREDIBLY impressed. I haven't even checked on this thread since page 3, and I just spend the last hour reading it. This is record time on a build like this.
