What's your theory on break in? seems like there was little to no breakin time on the engine or wasn't mentioned in the thread anyhow. Not that that's a bad thing everyone has their own opinion on breakin times and such. But very very nice setup none the less.

I'm sporting a large street port myself, and I pull about the same. How much overlap (if any?) did you throw in there? Can we see pics of the underside of the car. Specifically the exhaust work. Great job. Well planned and executed extremely well.

From what I've read (this could be completely false, take it with a grain of salt) a full bridgeport motor will idle with nearly 0 vacuum.

Well, I guess it's a good thing I chose to use my warning! I tend to use that when I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, and just relaying information I found..on..the INTERWEB!

yeah your right i never really said..... but i have been driving the car everyday since it has ran, and quite a bit before i had a WG on it and actually boosted

id say atleast 300mi before boost, it keeps pulling more and more vaccuum, and runs like a top, cold and hot starts are instant,

engine has over 1k by now id say...

oh and i am running 9's all round if anyone is wondering, for plugs

alright havent made a post in awhile so i thought id post some more pics of what i have gotten done

well lets start here, here is a pic of the aluminum overflow i made, i didn't have a cap to weld on that day so there isnt one on it yet

Next is a pic of some interior work..... since i converted to manual windows i had to rework the bottom of the door panel to work, and you can see the aluminum panels made for the swith location and defroster vent

then here is a pic of an adjustable pinion snubber that i made, it keeps the nose of the diff from snapping up under acceleration and launching.... it had been rotating up close to 2" and actually hitting the belly of the car before this, without anything breaking, ha lucky

everything is very tight now... and no wheel hop at all anymore, i am excited about that. We'll see how fast a little NA rear can go

and here is what i did for the scoop on the hood... i will probably get more creative later but this looks perty good. i should have taken a pic with the bottom of the hood so you can see but it is cut out and feeds the turbo
The hood will be painted black sooner or later.....

next a pic of the hood pins i did..... material cost $1.59
they turned out very nice and do not look tacky in the least, and best of all there is no threads or nuts visible at all... need a pic with the hood open to show this

Ha and last but def not least..... my funnest little thing done ANTI-LAG

anti-lag is the ****.... i set it up on the haltech and i am simply wow'd
I engage the antilag with a momentary switch i cleverly installed on the stock shift ****, and it works beautifully

in neutral i can build 10psi (or 40 if you wanted to) of boost in about 3 seconds, simply amazing, and it is so smooth, the engine just acts like a dyno loading it and the turbo goes nuts

i am currently pulling 20 deg of timming and adding 35% of fuel to the fuel map when engaged...... i only use it for launching or instead of brake boosting, ha or if you want to make a people stare from insane turbo noise while at a light

works much better than brake boosting.... you have full boost in half the time and running the momentary switch is much easier than your foot or the E-brake

oh and another thing..... launching before the antilag required a 6k launch to get going and it would still sorta bog on the street because of the big DR's on the back

now i can lauch at 4.5k on full boost and destroy the DR's on the street.... it really makes the task of a good lauch much easier on you and the car....

First street legal event is this saturday... the car will be on 14 psi and see what it can do,..... and we'll see what the na rear can take on boosted launches via the antilag

love it but the hood makes baby jesus cry.

A nice cutout for the turbo to stick out of would have been visually more appealing. but if this is not a street car, then F it.

Not to be a jerk, but why did you make the hood scoop angled? Why not just straight along the line of travel? You should get better flow if it's straight on...

my guess is that air is blown straight into the turbochargers location to help transfer the heat off the turbo??

Did you head out to the drag strip this past weekend?

I think most of us are in withdrawl here. You are like our crack dealer. You post a bunch of stuff really fast, we get hooked, and then you hold out on us so we want it more. Next thing you will be asking for cash for updates... and I think some people will actually pay you.

Lmao, I love your anti-lag switch.

Make sure to tell your passengers it's an "Eject" button, ahahaha.

This project gets better and better with each new post! Keep tearing it up, man.
