But as with most designs, they would benefit from an inch or so of straight pipe directly from the flange. Also, some of the wastegate runners are very poorly placed. I suspect there are boost control issues with the 4th manifold pictured. Again this is probably due to space issues.

and also dont forget that piston engine gases dont come straight out of the motor like a rotory does.

cuz i've seen 2JZ's and RB's really struggling without nitrous off the line...

not trying to be mean...just curious...

Turbo should not by anymeans me a lag monster, from the people i have talked too

I think it should be approaching 15psi at a little after 4k, but when it comes it will more than likely be frightning

I actually traded turbine housings with local a RWD converted Ford Probe with a 2jz that will run 8's this year,.... he got my 1.15 and i took his 1.05.

without NO2 off the line his car was very laggy last year... i actually couldnt beleive the diffrence..... i should still spool better than him, and i have launching aids availible like a 2step or antilag, or even NO2 but i really dont think ill need it

Wastegates are not mocked yet... should be today, and manifold should be done.

I worked on my dash some, this is by no means done, it still needs trim and other things but here is the jist of that.

i dont know what speedo i am going to use so that is why the hole is so small

Ooh, Nice.. Thats what Im doing where my gauge cluster goes. Im using 3 3/8" speedo and tach though. Along with putting a fuel level gauge and my water temp gauge. Im going to angle mine in there more like stock though and use angle rings to keep the gauges vertical..

What material is that? What kind of paint did you use??

It is 16 GA steel, and the same tri-coat PPG paint as on the engine and car

my voltmeter and fuel will all be in the middle counsel, along with 2 rows of 3 gauges underneath the switches with things like 2 pyros, oil temp ect....

Very nice build up.

What are you going to run for an oil cooler setup?

Interesting turbo position, I've been trying to picture in my head a way to make a nice intake manifold...

question.. notice the full race manifolds all have a cut in the exhaust flange to allow for thermal expansion. why dont any of our manifolds have the cut?, we do have much higher exhaust temps... i do agree with the rotor motor pushing exhaust out striaght and thats a good idea to have a straight area before any curves. anyway the build looks amazing i wish i could someday have something that looks half as good as that. Also the bends look very smooth there will be some restriction but it shouldnt be that big of a deal. p.s those full race manifolds are a work of art jeff the designer is at the top of the game no doubt equal pressure and everything is put into those, he does amazing work.

No date for everything to be done.... everything under the hood will be done shortly, maybe start this weekend.

oh and i cant recall the name of the core for the oil cooler, nothing flashy but should do the job. the core is something like 13x13x1" with 1/2" inlet/outlets

did alot of small things today that needed to be done.....

one thing worth mentioning is that i got the secondaries mounted on the intake manifold.

all my fuel stuff should be hear tommorrow hopefully so i can do a rail and all the plumbing, then hopefully start the car

and the injectors are not fully inserted... the ends of the injector sit barely into the runners airstream...

I'd be concerned about that tach, it looks like your steering wheel (be it stock or aftermarket) will cover the entire top end..

na.... its not bolted up and the steering column is sagging.. i need to cut a notch out for the colum to rise up to the stock position..... i can see the full sweep of the tach from the driving position,

well some more progress

the manifold is welded.... minus the WG plumbing till the DP is done, fits like a glove

got my fuel stuff today, everything but some weld on fitting for the end of the rail.

got my fuel rail done.... should be picking up the TB tommorrow and finishing intake and the DP and having that ceramic coated.

lots of progress this weekend hopefully, wanted to start it up, but the two weld in thingers never showed

some of the manifold.... Matt does very nice work as you can see

and some of the other progress.... that is the full harness all plugged in aswell

and just some of the fuel ****.... no **** about my NOS stuff, they are nice "Y"s

Looks amazing!! Just do something about the CAS cover, the Oil filler cap and I am sure you are gonna polish/paint the Intake mani. Other than that your engine bay is SICK

Top notch work on everything, but next time you want to mount injectors, take a look at these:

http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=FUL

I used them on my manifold and they worked out great. They'll fit virtually any Bosch style injector and provide a 1/4" NPT thread at the top.

Also, is that a trailer style connector on you CAS?!

Damn those things are bad ***. Really no need for a fuel rail if you use the right pressure regulator.

ha, you caught me.... back home in a town of 200 people you had a slim selection of plugs...... works and is weather proof though
