I'm loving this tread!!! xD

i've passed trough a lot of situations like the ones said here..

but the one that just shoked me was when i went with a friend to his mechanic and my friend told him that i've just bought a FC it was something like this:

Friend: this friend of mine bought an RX-7.
Mechanic: a what??
Friend: a mazda rx-7, the one that was a rotary engine
Mechanic: rotary??
Me: yeah! It has no pistons
Mechanic: is it electric?
Me: no...
Mechanic: than it doesn't run...
Me: yes it does run... it's a diferente type of engine...
Mechanic: ahah how can a engine work with no pistons!!?!
I just walked away....

by the way.. i've read that a lot of you guys put some kind of oil in your tank when you fill up... ca anyoen explain me why you do that? and what type of oil is it?
(sorry for the noob question)

Here in CO most people have Evos and WRXs, and they all are the most cocky ***** I've ever met. Although two of my buddies have them. One has an 07 WRX TR, and the other an 05 WRX Sti. The TR I raced on our mountain pass, which "he knew like the back of his hand" We used to be best friends, but drugs kinda seperated us. But he always made fun of my FC, saying its too old to keep up and how the technology of his makes it one of the fastest cars for Touge. He says mine is slow but fun. On straights I agree, but I always fight, saying the chassis design and engine placement, makes it perfect for it. So I accepted his time trial on Gold Camp... which I smoked him by 17 seconds... on a 3 minute course. Of course after I beat him, the excuses came like no other. He still denies losing to me. His crazy mind makes him believe that he didn't lose. Lets just say, hes never challenged me again, and I always tell him to compete in SCCA AutoX events and I'll bet him whatever he wants. Before the mountain run, he wanted to bet me $500 dollars he would be faster around an AutoX course. I wasn't too surprised when he never showed up that day!

The other guy (my actual friend) has some work done to his STI and he's an instructor for master drive and does events all the time. But consistantly I'll beat him by 2-3 seconds. And all I have is an N/A S5, with minor engine mods, and heavy suspension tuning. I'm only a second to 1.5 seconds behind the lotuses that run. My FC is one of the fastest cars at these events. I'm not saying it is, or that I'm the best, but I'm never more than 7 seconds behind the days fastest times. People can crap talk our cars all the time, but by the time I'm finished with my car, I know it'll be a force to be reconned with!

nice...the only cars i find worth my time nowa days are subbies and fc's everyone of my friends bags on them and i defend them to death. everyone says subarus suck because they dont have that yaw active control awd and i say so...at least a subbie doesnt need a computer to be able to run fast times you just need to learn to drive the manual awd on subbies and everyone of course bags on the rotary in my fc and i just ignore it now because they're afraid of my power to weight ratio on the turns...i dont need a 240 to touge or drift my fc is just fine

I dont know who started this rumor but now everyone at pepboy says my car runs off magic pixie(sp?) dust lol. I was talking to on of the parts guys when this cute girl walks up and asks for some part (dont remember what part I was slightly distracted by her butt which was very nice ) but I guess she over heard us talking about my car and comes up and asks "wait where do you get pixie dust from? Do you mean the sugar?" and she was completely serious I almost peed my self laughing so hard!

me: I need a alternator belt for a '90 Rx-7 Non-turbo
Advance employee: that's a nissan, right?
me: why, yes. yes, it is.

lol

this doesnt really have to do with the car being an rx7 but its pretty funny regardless....

(pulling up to a chick fil-a window)

ghetto cashier lady: eww can you turn yo car off, i caint breathe
friend: uhm, yeah sorry (turns car off)
cashier: what you got around yo shoulda's
friend: uhm, you mean the harness?
cashier: what you need a HARR-ness fo?
friend: I autocross this car.
cashier: you whhaaa?
friend: I RACE this car.
cashier: where you be racin at, outa space or somethin?
friend: yeah, outer space, exactly. Can i just have my sandwhich?

part of the humor in this was just how she really emphasized SPACE lol.

well, im a chick and I love the smell of my exhaust too lol...

but i was raised around a bunch of SCCA ITS rx7's (and one smelly '68 camaro), so I guess i'm biased.

...and thats another thing too! since im a girl, when i try and tell people i have no pistons (except brakes) they think im retarded, or else just some dumb bimbo who doesn't know anything about cars....its awesome. makes me chuckle inside.

Haha such is life in the world of RX7s (or any older performance oriented car, really). But my new TPS is on the way and it'll run again very soon!
And I think the wait makes the end result that much better. It is a bitch though.

the best ones are the things they DONT say. the looks i get when im putting 2 cycle oil in my gas tank at the gas station, are priceless.

the funny part about it, when i'm filling it up and premixing, they just give me looks like im a complete retard. but when my wife is filling up and is premixing guys come up to her and ask her what she's doing and try to tell her its bad.

I go to advanced auto to pick up some brake kleen and dot 3 so i can bleed my brakes..... I remembered that i also needed spark plugs.

I'm standing at the register and i hear "Can i help you?" from the guy standing infront of me but he's not even looking at me, like in space or something so i stay in the line i'm in.

"Can i help you sir?"

"are you talking to me"

"yesh"

He is wall-eyed. How they let him work a computer, i dont know.

"I need spark plugs for a 1988 rx-7"

"What?"

"I NEED SPARK PLUGS FOR A 1988 RX-7"

"Who makes that?"

I place my hand on my forehead and put my head down.

"MAZ-DUH"

This next question gets asked every time i f-ing go in there.

"Is it turbo?"

"NO!"

"OK, i dont seee, oh wait, hang on......"

"We dont have any in stock"

"can you order a set of four ngks for me please?"

"I dont know"

*walks out of store*

i had a problem when i ordered a exhaust gasket at Autozone, got it in a box and i walked outside with it, got into my car, opened the box and realized it was for a 4 cylinder.. Walked back in and told them it was wrong.. *you can guess where this went*.. "How many cylinders does it have?" lol I told em it only has 2 ports and that their computer was wrong, they insisted i was wrong and the computer was right.. eventually i got em to refund it.

The coolest time was at this gas station and this hot white girl with sun glasses walked by "cool car, is that a Z?" *my car doesnt have any badges so i took it as a compliment.

2 days ago i drove ot Walmart, and at an intersection pulled up to a astrovan with a kid in the passanger seat, he looked over and saw me, his face lit up wiht excitment and gave me a thumbs up and a smile lol

I do the same thing when i see nice built up cars, esp every once in a while a lowrider will appear *people dont usually drive them so its kind of rare to see someone driving theirs out*, i will usually give them a node and thumbs up out of respect.
