I hate it when people do that ****.
That's because you are a girl and therefore don't know anything about cars. Duh.

I get the premix interrogation about once a month and now, almost look for the opportunity to have that conversation again. My strategy is simple: Inform them of what I am doing. In reality, this is endlessly amusing. For example:

Guy: You shouldn't put that oil in there, it's 2 stroke.....blah blah blah blah blah

Me: It's OK. The car has a rotary engine and I am premixing the oil.

Guy: You shouldn't do that because....blah blah blah blah

Me: Actually I kind of have to at the moment. As much as I hate premix, I have a problem with the actuator to my metering oil pump. You see, Mazda designed a small metering oil pump that is controlled by a rod connected to the throttle body. At least on my car anyway, because on S5 and newer they went to a stepper motor. Anyway, since my ports are high overlap with a small bridge above the aux ports, I built my own intake manifold with shorter runners but a larger plenum. The shorter runners would in theory provide a torque loss down low but in keeping the stock diameter and going with a 11 by 4 inch plenum I've taken advantage of the Helmholtz resonator effect at low RPMs while providing adequate surge space on throttle opening and not choking the flow off at high RPM. So long story short is that the stock rod no longer fits and I designed a cable system to actuate the lever on the metering oil pump. Unfortunately it was the one thing on the car that I designed kind of poorly so it tends to inject far to little oil. Mazda's system mixes at about 250:1 but mine is too erratic so I've been mixing at 100:1 manually until I decide what to do with the pump. Yeah, 100:1 is a bit rich but remember, fuel is cut during decel and I'm making sure that the premixed oil remains trapped in the porous chrome internal coating of the rotor housing during this period. This is especially important at high RPM where I often drive because even the stock system starve the car a little for apex seal lubrication under light loads at high throttle. The disadvantage of course is that it's a pain in the *** to do this, and the 2 stroke oil has a lower flash point then the crankcase oil so more of it is required. For now it's an acceptable compromise. I think soon I will remove the metering oil pump entirely, plug up the injector nozzles and then develop an automatic premix system but until then I just dump it into the tank.

Strangely, I've never received a response.

Aaron, you crack me up bro!!!

I've never got the interrogation... It sucks, I really want someone to question me!
I even fill up at a QT that ALWAYS has rice and muscle hanging out. Its right by the best car wash in my neighborhood.

It's to the point where I want to go in a say, "Hi there good sir. I need this 2-stroke oil to put in my cars gas tank."

"mmm, why you ask?"

"Actually I kind of have to at the moment. As much as I hate premix, I have a problem with the actuator to my metering oil pump. I just tell people I like my car to smoke. It usually avoids the whole rotor vs piston argument. Here in CFL, people don't seem to like rotaries much. My buddy has a 12a full bridge that he dailys and always tells me about how he gets yelled at by rednecks in trucks all the time. I usually just get the finger sitting at stop lights. I know my straight pipe is loud, but it's not THAT bad... is it?

I got a good one yesterday. I walk outside and am about to get into my car when two kids ride their bikes into each other and crash. I run over and ask are you ok. the one kid gets up and goes "ya i think so...IS THAT YOUR 240?" i was like actually its an rx7 but yes its mine. And then the kid says "I dont know it looks like a 240 to me" and they both ride their bikes away.

and whenever i buy premix they always ask if my atv is cool. i just say its actually for my car and walkout and they are always confused. noone at the local 7-11 says anything anymore.

im selling my acura tl, and its parked in front of my house with "for sale" signs on it.

3 kids pull up in a civic and one of the kids is interested in the tl for sale, the whole time i am just finishing up drying off my FC after a bath. so i walk up to them and blah blah blah (you know how trying to sell a car goes) anyways, one of the kids notices my car and asks "what kind of car is that?" the kid who was driving, is leaning against his civic texting, and he says "its a ford probe", i didn't say anything...i don't care what people think. then the other kid who was just along for the ride says "that's a RX7" then they get into some lame *** argument about it, and it ended up with them walking to the back of the car, in my backyard to see what kind of car it was.

once he saw the RX7 sticker on the rear, he shouted some crap in spanish, followed by "Mazda RX7 puto"....then they were acting like they wanted to buy both cars (as if id sell the FC), and "how much power is it pushing?", "how big is the turbo?"... i told them to leave my property, and to not come back.

it was obvious they were broke high school kids, just driving around wasting time.

that's my story for today.

I hate it when people try to tell me about the premix. Usually i just ignore them. I hate that they think im just some dumb female who doesnt know what shes doing. lol. I hate having to premix, but i gotta.

In FL everyone knows rotaries so I don't get many dumb comments. I do hate the "r u sellin' it" though since most people that ask are broke as **** and normally give dumb offers. I guess it makes people feel like ballers when they ask

This really is the best approach. If you keep a straight face the whole time and pretend that you're speaking to someone that is educated about cars it really doesn't take much effort. Normally they'll say something like "ohh...ok..." and I don't feel bad afterwards.
