Im not sure but my guesses is that it turned that way because i mangange to drive 10 miles without the IC connected. That way the turbos free spooled and maybe wear the bearings? I dont know, ive never seen anything like it :P
Anyway, got the GT35R hooked up and ready to go! Probably start-ready to morrow if i can find a welder

Woho! Recieved the T66 today! Fits like a glooove! Some minor mods and its ready to rumble =D
The GT35R is mounted but the T4 flange isnt good so it has to be "sanded"? down to get it perfect.. Thats about it, so next weekend is tune-in time!

You're not gonna Sand it straight are you?
Sanding = slipe med sandpapir..

Think you mean youre gonna grind it.. hehe..

Gonna be cool to se how the drifter will work with the t-66 turbo, thats the same as i'm running on my car..

Good to hear that you threw away the twins and are going for the single one on the streetcar..

yeye, didnt find the grinding word.. :P The manifold is sent to motor teknikk! Got it fixed for almost free and i have it on wdensday! i HOPE i hear both cars running next weekend!
FOund a solution for the wastegate flange as i was going through some ****/garbage in the garage.. found a cone, pipe, thing that fits perfect! Weld a few nuts on it and its ready to go! This entire "project" is all built from parts i had allready so it looks baaad! The car is gonna be flat black, gp sport, with some ugly vinyls, wastegate running out of the front fender, tinted windows, 9*18" black center wheels... Nice streetcar! I just hope the clutch wont faaail!

Also a pick of the streetcar enginebay.....

I`ll either cry or smile tomorrow! Figured out that the blue got really bad ign. timing so i have some work to do there aswell!

Woha! Three words... T66 is baaaad it works great. Just like i hoped and it was almoste plug and play. The drifter is running 1-1.3bar boost. I dont know why its jumping. I got a Tial 46mm wg with .4bar spring and a greddy profec 2 boost controler. Is it the set gain? I tried to play with it but didnt feel any different.

The blue one is still not proper timed cuz i dont know how to do it with autronic SMC.. Didnt have time to look at it today either.

Did do almost everything i planned this weekend!

Oh whell, had to modify the trigger wheel on the REW engine to get it working with the SMC like it should. Had to advance it 20degrees. Its easier to retard the timing with the autronic than advance it.. If the timing is all wrong from the beginning..
Here is what i`ve done to the drifter! Engine bay MESS!! Oil all over!!.

Finally done something on the RX7. The plan for this winter is to:

* Fix clutch issues and install bullet proof bellhousing
* Moving the fuelcell under the trunk
* Making the car look good!
* Maybe going for e85 and more boost!

First off! The look.
Old look

I`ve never liked the way it looked. Orange with a green viking isnt cool. Its actually not cool at all!!! Not wide.. Not low.. Not agressive..

Plan is wiiiide and low and new rims! Im going to buy 10 new 18″ wheels like you can see on the pictures below.

So, rear fenders are cut and widened in steel to reinforce the glass fiber over fenders. The front fenders will be widened in steel by the body guy.

Everything will be copied so i can duplicate in glass fiber. I got molds for rear fenders, front bumper, side skirts and scoop

The rears are done and it looks good! I was expecting 30mm wide fenders when i ordered them, but it isnt 30, its closer to 80mm!!

Im almost finnish with the fuelcell job too

Old mounting on picture above.

New “trunk” below

Some more grinding and paint and its done. Fuel filler cap will be in the middle of the rear lights. (like mustangs).

Short update on what i have done to the Rx7. Im reduced at the moment so i cant work 100%. The paint guy will get the car in two weeks. So the next week i have to shine the new frontbumper, rearbumper, sideskirts, make a new hood + scoop and probably some more. Ive also ordered a pair of S5 Jdm rear lights and a set of new sideview mirrors since i smashed one this year =)

More updates soon! Stay tuned!

I have no ide what brand they are. Havnt found anything similar. I think i bought them from a member on this forum but he didnt know the brand either. I do have the molds for them so its possible to make a pair. Fitment is actually quite good to!

Im going to make a pair of front fenders to that will match the rears! Im making them in sheet metal but i`ll make a fiberglass mold for them to.
If you or someone else are interessted i might make a few sets and sell them.

New project!
Not rotary or rx7 related but still...

please rethink and say you are going to put a 20b in it
Also i sat through the whole thread today and loved it, your quite crafty at the fibreglass work, i tried to just do a simple glass layered repair on the back of my cracked bumper and two days later its still gooey

haha i have been playing with the thought of going for a 3-4 rotor but the price for a competitive 20b or 26b is to expensive versus v8s..

Fiberglass is easy to learn but it takes alot of patient to get it right. At least thats my opinion I have some parts that didnt go that well!

As for composit work the entire murcielago is going to be carbon fiber and im hoping i will get enaugh honeycomb to make the front frame, floor and rear firewall

Sindre, any updates? I missed that you put in a LS1, if I wasn't a stupid rotarynut I would probably do the same thing, but hey, I haven't even got my car together yet so I guess it doesn't matter
