Lightbulb aftermarket taillights... ever gona happen?

so i've been searching and i haven't seen any talk about someone producing taillights for the fc. it would be nice if a company could make us 'new' taillights. i'm not looking for jdm tyte ones i'm thinking somewhere around original but modern like the supra style would look good imo. and i mean having all 4 circle lights not 3 and a rectangle reverse one.

EDIT: smaller picture sorry

discuss.

Should be any day now.
I know that were I a businessman, my target market would be a group of people with 20 year old cars who can barely afford air for the tires.

used lights go for 150+ i would pay 200 for brand new lights and the supra style is very similar to s5 except for the reverse light is also round. if a company like corksport and shine and mazdatrix that make parts specifically for rx7's why not make something that no body else provides. but maybe thats just my dream.

the only thing that would change would be the square reverse light into a round taillight like the others.

Supra lights are meh. Need something square that fits the style of the FC more.

I want some like this, no other design.

i found this a while ago, some guy tried to make his own crystal style s4 tails, looks alright to me, but i dont think enough would sell for a company to produce these.

supra lights looks ugly as **** on any fc. those s4 tails make it look like a s13. why can people just stick with the original s4 or s5 lights. no aftermarket or conversion is gonna look any better unless you go led or whatever. also if your gonna go led the car has to have atleast some aero to make it look cool.

I completely agree with you. These mix and match japanese ricer cars look like complete **** to me. (see above for a good example.) Stick with stock, and simply accent what was already designed FOR THE CAR., thats the way to go.

Furthermore as this thread has proven, the few guys who might be willing to spend a few hundred dollars on a set of aftermarket taillights can't agree on what design would be best. Which means if somebody invested in the tooling to make something all new, they might sell 10 or 20 sets if they were lucky because most RX-7 owners wouldn't like them anyway.

i think you'd better ask non-rx-7 owners what they would like best, as they only see my taillights anyways

not that i am interested in anything else then stock..

dream on Alex, dream on.

There would be 50 people who would say they would buy them, 50 more would say they would buy them "only if they were DOT legal", another 30 would say they would buy them only after seeing them installed or in person.

20 people would say how they can make their own lights cheaper
20 more would say how they like their "modernized" lights better

3 people would actually give deposits, the rest will be "waiting until they get their tax return money or for their mom to lend them the money

^exactly.

Just like the hardtops for the verts. Will never happen. The only way I see something like this happening is if someone had the skills and desire to make it for themselves, and made a few extra to sell.

ok I see that no one would agree on a different style. But the reason I thought about this is because my stupid neighbor that can't drive cracked one of my lights. And my brother said just buy a new one... Except no one sells new ones and good ones are hard to find. But I guess I will just have to fix mine for the mean time. At least if someone sold new lens covers but I'll just keep dreaming

and the led lights I found the pic on google. But ebay?

I've only seen one set of taillights, and they were on ebay. They looked horrific!! I'd rather stick with stock lights over aftermarket ones anyday.
