Sure, do it damn near every time I drive it (when my drag radials aren't on anyway).

With my suspension adjusted for a slight front bias (combined with a 51.3/48.7 front/rear weight bias) my car exhibits very slight push in corners, which is easily overcome by increased application of throttle.

LOF has it right that without any power to move the car how you want it, he's likely inducing a little bit of push. I run 0 stagger on my BMW for this very reason, as it has much less power and heavy stagger can be felt in more noticable push, and with limited power I cannot as easily overcome it.

I will contend that the original poster doesn't run the car at 110% anyway, so all this argument beyond basic looks is pointless, as 90% or better of people on these forums can't and don't drive the cars hard enough for the stagger induced understeer to be in any way relevant. I do agree huge heavy tires and wheels on a car with no torque and very little HP is going to detract from the driving experience even well below the 10/10ths where it really impacts handling.

Perhaps a lecture on replacing all the suspension bushings, the struts, assuring valving and spring rate are well matched, proper performance alignment and a million other things should be considered before we go off in a tiff about tire stagger on eBay wheels, eh?

I will also note that your gross generalization of "The car won't handle correctly with meaty tires out back" is hilarious.
