People still use trans jacks? Be a man and muscle it up. Hands on the bell housing, knees on the tail shaft.

FC transmissions are light, try pulling a TH350 out of a Nova.

the problem is my jack stands dont go very high, so theres no room for me to be under the tranny under the car, and its hard to line up the tranny with the clutch /splineshaft and force it in. Its hard to slide it back in...sigh... If I was at a shop with the cheater lift and tranny jack it would be cake...Its almost in... its on blocks right now linned up, just gotta somehow wiggle it in the tranny splineshaft into the clutch..

yo!

I can helpz u rebuild it!!! I have the street port template and air tools You might be able to reuse the apex seals[if they still have alot of life] and rotors and housings.Just need new gaskets, apex seal and sideseal springs,fd corner seal springs and waterjacket seals. Get the waterjacket seals from pineappleracing, they are $200 but last a long time and are reuseable!! Well port the exhaust ports too!!!it will be a beast.

got the tranny in today myself. I guess after 1days rest my arm wasnt sore and itwas easy to fight it in. I bleed the clutch and now its nice and stiff. I checked the hydrolics while a friend presses the clutch and it is moving the fork. So it shouldbeable to go into gear now. The problem now is I have to find somebody with a silicone hose and pump to put the tranny fluid back in. I tried putting the fluid from where the shifter goes, and it didntwant to take it.. Thats weird, on 240s I always put gear oil through the shifter.. I guess Ill need to do it from under the car..
I started the car and looked at the engine itwas leaking fuel on the fuel lines.. They bursted, but they never bursted when the NA was in there.. weird, so shut the engine imediately & I replaced them with new ones [Kragen $1.29 per feet]. Now its not leaking and it was alot harder to start. Like my engine is flooding all the time. Weird it was easier to start when the fuel lines were leaking LOL.. this is soo strange.. my motor is weird.

You don't need a damn pump to fill the tranny. Get a funnel and a long tube (ie long vacuum hose), run it through the engine bay to the tranny fill hole, and add fluid till it's full.

That seems like a lot harder than just doing it from the side of the car. Any benefit to doing this way?

hm today i tried to start it as usual for break in. But it wouldnt start.Weird just yesterday and all the other days it would start up easy. I pulled the spark plugs and they were all caked in blackness,so I cleaned them. I cranked the motor w/o the plugs to unflood it if it is flooded..Put the plugs back in. Tried to start again, but it wouldnt.. It will do a occasional pwah pwah..weird.. Feels like i just started over again, like the first time when it was trying to start it. the battery died after trying to crank it so long. No leaks, theres fuel I can smell it..weird....it just started to happen when Ifixed the fuel leakage...
I think the only way now is to pop start again. sigh.. i gotta wait for my friends to get off school and have em tow me up the hill...

There's two on the tranny, the lower one is the drain, the uppermost one is the fill. It should be on the side of the trans.
