so i finally went to radio shack and got some more goodies i will be installing my fuel pump kill switch this weekend. my plan is to cut into the harness under the dash, and wire in a 3-way switch. i'll be installing a single led in the dashboard to be lite when the fuel pump is off and once the fuel pump is on the led will turn off.

fuel pump off = led on
fuel pump on = led off

the switch will be hidden ether in the arm rest compartment, or glove box. another place i considered is the ash tray. there is already a hole to on the side of it and might be a good hidden place that will not be accidentally pushed while driving.

this is my wire diagram.

my kill switch is installed =) that was actually pretty fun i thought it would be a pita but i didn't run into a single problem besides the soldering out in the cold. here is a picture of how its installed. i don't have a problem showing it on here since any of you guys would already know how to steal an rx7 this is to stop the average idiot not the rx7 experts.

car is dirty, i got to clean it this week.

EDIT: the wire coming out the ash tray is not the wires for the kill switch, it is for the headphone jack for the stereo. i will drill a hole in the tray under the stereo to bring it out through there and not grab the attention to the ashtray.

I noticed that you have a civic shift **** on your car, I was just wondering how you got it to sit so low on your shifter?? I bought one and installed it, but it seems to sit higher than yours. Did you have to modify it in any way to make it sit low like that?? Any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance.......Nice build thread by the way, I had fun flipping through the pics......

Honestly I'm not sure, I went to a junk yard once and got 3 shifters, of a Honda, Mitsubishi and Toyota, so there is a 33.3% chance its a Honda shifter. Also it just screwed on, the thread was high up inside the shifter. I really liked it and feels better than the mad tyte shifter it came with

bumping this.

I've done some electrical stuff. re did my stereo harness. It's neatly soldered and heat shrunk
before

after (not soldered yet, don't have a pic of that)

I also got around to installing my oil pressure gauge. I modded the dash tray to hold 1 gauge but will fit 2 more once i cut the holes out.

nearly perfect fit and I didn't even need a special case. I'm sure i'm not the first to realize the tray frame can hold gauges. they are not going anywhere.

matches my stereo nicely.

EDIT: look closely at my stereo display, it displays fake gauges. I think it's pretty cool since I'm talking about gauges.
