Thumbs up my car re-build

bought this car about 3-4 months ago for 700 with 3 sets of wheels so i got a pretty good deal engine has low compression was going to rebuild it but just going to replace it here is the slow progress almost done just waiting to drop in the "new" engine in and hopefully all goes well.

first thing i did was un-flood the engine the car actually started but i knew i was running on one rotor no power and wouldn't idle. so left the car sit till i had more money.

here is the car more recently i put it up on ramps to remove the engine not as easy as said. the car is to low to be pushed up the ramps it hits the bumper so i had to jack it up and lower it on the ramps this is also easier said then done the jack does not fit under the car so i had to use a scissor jack to get it up high enough to use the hydrolic jack... yeah how do you guys with cars 1" off the ground do it lol

ok so not many pictures of the current progress i just take pictures when i'm done. lets start with staring at the engine for a few minutes like we all do lol

started with removing the clutch fan and shroud which was pain as i did it in the dark

when you remove the clutch fan and shroud the engine spontaniously is removed like this

but don't be alarmed check your trunk and you will see it is safe there

ok so its not that easy but its done and i'm happy about removing the engine

found this sign so i thought it would be funny as the apartment managers have given me a hard time about my car not moving and people complaining there is no parking spaces

here are a few extra pictures for some more story like i said i got 3 pairs of wheels and tires two are rx7 stock and one pair after market cheap brand i sold the after market already right now sits on the stock ones but need to sale to afford something different

here is my interior seats they are recaro classic seats came with the car but i also need to sale this seats because they are too big can't even bolt them down and i'm looking for some sparco seats too

if you can keep the ps might as well keep it. making it into a manual rack is somewhat difficult unless you can get a manual rack.

ive had mine ps rack "depowered" by leaving the holes open to where the banjo bolt wa
s and letting fluid leak out. that **** seized while i was driving. so i decided to get a real manual rack but never installed it lol

i dont understand the whole stripping of all comfort options, power steering is awesome, as is a/c. if you are just lazy thats one thing, but if another person preaches to me about weight reduction on a car that doesnt have a cage and race tires im going to do nothing about it. you think a girl wants to ride in a car with no sound deadening, no carpet, on the side of the car where the exhaust runs down, with no a/c, all while you sweat your *** off trying to turn the steering wheel just getting out of her drive way? the car is never going to haul *** so you might as well be cold while you drive slow.

i'm not preaching to you where did you get that from. and the only reason i want to remove the a/c is because it didn't even work in the first place so why would i put something that didn't work back... and if i want to go out with a girl i'll just take her in one of my other cars and i'm not going to start sweating just backing out of a drive way you might be out of shape if you sweat that easy lol... no offense dude but this is MY car and i'm not building it to please anyone but my self. by the way if a girl said she didn't like my car i'd make that bitch walk plenty of ***** everywhere else anyway. lol

for one its colorado where ac isnt even necessary. you probably use it 2 or three times a year. also recharging r12 isnt cheap so is converting to r134a.

two power steering is about the drivers preference, some people prefer ps some dont. im one of those that dont because i like feeling road feedback through the steering wheel makes me feel a little more comfortable of what im driving on.

also no one said anything about weight reduction. who needs a girl to ride in a stripped car in the first place thats just dead weight. but either way no one gets head in an rx7.

hey guys here are more pictures of the seats

iani1.1 they are electric seats but i'm not exactly sure what they do i push the buttons and i can hear the motors doing something i think they expand the back and sides for comfort they are for sale as they don't really work on fc's =( the rotor ***** hit the door trim inside

they are Recaro Classic C seats not original to rx7 but to AMG and Benz i think

here is a link to a guy that payed 500$ for his on ebay

This is an interesting build. Are you doing all of this in an apartment complex? We get towed if our cars sit for too long. lol
