if you want a short shifter just buy a miaiat one for $30 on ebay one of the 2 peice kinds thats what i did.

one day you will do like me and look back on sleepy eye pics of your car and think. "wow that looks retarted". it realy is a phase. as for spacers dont worry about that infact unless they are bolt on spacers they realy arnt safe to run on stock stubs. infact the guys at Mytlebeach speedway wouldn't let me run on drift day cause i had spacers.

Thanks for the words guys.

I guess i'll pass on the flywheel.

I'm also passing on the xtd clutch. I'm hearing alot of mixed reviews now. The stage 3 and 4 work good for some and horribly for others but some aren't disclosing if they broke in the clutch proper or not. I'm hearing no complaints from the F1 clutch crowd but i'm thinking i'll just get a good oem quality clutch like exedy. I'm not going to cheap out here only to have to crawl under the car and spend all that f-ing time changing out a clutch twice in under 10k miles.......

DTSS kit's only like $50 bones. 4ws=teh gey.

I'm making my own cooling plates out of stainless but if you say so, i'll leave the oil cooler oem and where it's at.

If you really want the spoiler that much, fine. I guess it's for a good cause. You'll never let me live with it otherwise.

My FC does run. Almost perfectly fine aside from the trailing plugs not firing due to buildup on them. Asshat previous owner had them unplugged for some ricer reason. I forgot what he said but he said it so he'd sound smart.......

Thanks for the tip on the spacers. I didn't know they wouldn't let you run with them. I'm not far from the beach. You're closer than i am but i do go down there from time to time. I wanted to go hubcentric bolt on but i guess i'll man up and spend the $500ish for the sportmaxes.

NO SPORTMAX!!!!! NOOOO

You will look back years from now and say "why did i buy sportmax??" hahahhaha

Stock wheels> sportmax lol
just cuz they are cheap isnt a good reason to go with them. they are heavy and tasteless as far as the auto tuning world... Get some USED jdm wheels for the same price, or buy some Mustang rims

Used jdm wheels for the same price?

That's funny.

Mustang rims are going to be just as heavy. I looked into it. Then again, if i do find a cheap set of 5 spokes (with the thin, tapered spokes) in chrome for cheaper than $300, i'll jump on them.

They'll do fine for me. I'm not getting them to cater to everyone else.

http://www.edgeracing.com/images/whe...angle_zoom.jpg

These only come in 18x8 and 35mm offset though.

http://www.edgeracing.com/images/whe...angle_zoom.jpg

And these come in 2 sizes i like.

18x8.5 32 offset (dunno if these will fit up front.....if not i'll opt for the 18x7.5 with 42 offset. In the rear, 18x9.5 with a 35 offset.

I still might try the bbs vert rims out for a while and see if i like them. I'll try to scoop them up next week. If they dont tickle my pickle, i'll dismount the tires and sell them.

Wow. Ok. You ARE the man. Used jdm rims at a decent price WITHOUT installing a language pack......

Again, i've seen the mustang rims and i have a VERY good imagination (plus i have tokyo extreme racer and f&f tokyo drift games to give me ideas on how i want my **** to look).

I'm announcing an official name for my car. I dub thee: Ugly Betty. I dont care how good it looks in the future, i'm still calling it that.

http://zilvia.net/f/wheels-tires/221...ata-green.html

I would put ***** to mouth for those wheels. Hands down these are my favorite rims ever made. I dont know why i like them so much and i damn you for linking me to the thread they were in. Much love for the te37. So gangster.

Understandable.

However, once i buy a set of rims i'm set on putting on a car to fit how i want it to look, i usually keep them. Some people change rims like i change hats. I had the same factory stock gsx wheels on my rs-t for well over a year and loved them. I really didn't want anything else.

I'll cross that bridge when i get to it and thanks for all the help.

Progress:

Failed interior swap..... A pillar cover's snapped from being brittle. Stupid sun damage. Rear tower covers wont fit without being modified due to the welded rear strut bar..... I'll figure something out. I've got one seatbelt installed and i'll do the other next week if i have time.

Gutted. The steering wheel is zip tied to the pedal mounting bracket's bracket to keep it out of the way.

Power door panels on a non power door? Yes. The handle is a bit sketch but it will work for now. I may glass some in the future or buy some carbon fiber fabric and do my own.... (this is my hobby, it has nothing to do with money really. I like making stuff from scratch.)

Katana concept seven.

Not even motegi......

Knockoffs.

Hey, can't beat free rims though, right?

My gxl wheels that were in the rear had hops and flatspots in them..... They'll do for now. Tuneup, fixing electrical gremlins, coilovers, exhaust, welded dif, dtss and full aero kit are at the top of my list. Rims come later.

I should.

Updates...... I haven't done anything really since those pics were taken. I bled my brakes..... The car has no gas and the battery has no charge. I went to get spark plugs and alas, no spark plugs to be had in stock....anywhere. So i guess i'm ordering online, just like with my last car because advanced auto=fail. If it's not carbed or american, they dont know what the **** they're talking about......

I went rim shopping yesterday and got to see a set of 17x9 mb weapons....thinking of going with them on all 4 corners. Not sure yet.

I also love these

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...k+w%2FMach+Lip

As of right now, those are my 2 choices hands down. They may not be jdm but they have the right look for my car.

They only had them in 17x8ish at the store but they can order any size and offset i want. I really think the 240 guys killed the xxr/sportmaxes for me browsing around the "other" forums.....

My girlfriend just popped off that she wants to go on vacation next year. She says this as soon as i talk about spending some of my tax return on my car..... Our daughter wont even be a year old by the time she "planned" on going so i think i can use that to talk her out of it. Lol. It's not that i dont want to go on vacation, i just want to do stuff to my 7 and want to be close to home for my baby's early years. I'd be all for it if we already had her 2 years ago and i could trust her with a sitter. I hope she doesn't best me and foil my plans! She can get into some pretty crafty arguments sometimes that i can't help but submit to because i feel like an idiot.....

P.S.

Rear seat is in. Seatbelts are go, aside from the inside parts for the driver and passenger. I haven't had a moment in the past few days where i felt like pulling my gxl's seats..... T hey're only held in with 2 bolts each anyway. I hate when hacks try to build cars. They give me so much more work to do when i get ahold of it......... I'm waiting for payment to be sent so i can ship some stuff out and get a steering wheel hub and wheel and some brake pads. I hope to have the blinker issue and interior light issue resolved sometime before x-mas....lol.
